'loyalty' and 'time' for the headcanon meme!

Despite serving under the umbrella of the Gotei, her loyalty extends to exceedingly few souls. Jewel cares about herself and those whom have proven their worth or use to her personally. She's unlikely to help strangers or most Shinigami unless they expressly say that they need her help, and even then she may drag on reaching out her hand, like "Do you really want my help?" as she's watching a comrade hang on for dear life. She also comes from a division that doesn't like their fights being interrupted, so she's not one to step in on someone else's fight, especially if she's not attached to them in any way.
I will say she's not blatantly unreliable. She does her job for the most part and is casually cordial while being detached, but her true colors will show in situations where one may have expected more from someone in her position.
Jewel's social circle is small (professional-only relationships don't count here), and those that are close know that she's by their side and would help them with just about anything, but also understand that she needs to breathe and be left to her own devices at times. She's independent and detached by nature, but she does genuinely care about the few she's allowed to be close to her. They're the ones she would jump in, save, and wail on their opponent for them if they wanted. They're the ones she'd take mental notes on so she'd know the perfect gifts to give. And they're the ones she's overall more open with.
With all of the responsibility around her position, and the expectations surrounding properly honing her zanpakuto, Jewel often feels as though she has little time. She's set standards for herself that she struggles to meet to a degree where she'll get annoyed at herself for not 'measuring up'. That being said, she's actually not on a hot course to burning herself out.
Nature is something that helps calm her mind when she's become too much for herself. Walks, swimming (privately), and ice sculpting help clear her head, doubly so when she's surrounded in beautiful scenery. Waterfalls are among her favorite places to meditate because it helps drown out her thoughts and makes it easier for her to enter her inner world where Hyouhakyoku is. She'll always carve out time to go outside.
