As somebody who is mainly a fan of L's music (but still enjoys H) I feel like Larries are way harsher on L than on H.
I have seen quite some people say "Oh L is coming to my city but I will not go because of Zara". Meanwhile the same people travel long distances for H and do not say that Zoe stops them from going. If you do not constantly check Zara's social media, you would barely notice her. Meanwhile there are constantly new pap pictures of H and Zoe and their engagement rumours are consistently in the tabloids.
I generally barely see people connect their enjoyment of an artist with said artist's partner. And I wonder why you so often see this with L. And I guess it is because these "fans" know that in the past much of his success was built on the loyalty of his fans (buying multiple albums, following him around for half or even all of his tour). So they have developed an ego complex and think if they pull the plug, it will directly affect L. Meanwhile they know H is too successful so it does not make a difference if they "unstan" him.
Meanwhile their "unstanning" also does not really affect L. In the end it is only a small numbers of "fans" who act like that. But it creates a super toxic online environment because they are super loud. But I really cannot wrap my head around why these double standards even exist.
I think it completely depends on your particular dash. In my case, all I see is Harry hate or larries who barely post about him. But I know others feel all they see is hate for Louis.
I think there are hypocrites on both sides of the fence and all you can really do is try your best to curate your dash so you find a balance of what you want to see.
