People acting like the New Avengers are evil incarnate whilst pretending the og team were paragons of virtue is hilarious to me.

Like you don't get to be all outraged about Alexei being a "child trafficker" whilst ignoring how Wanda slaughtered an entire temple full of teenage magic acolytes & tried to kill another teenager all in an attempt to kidnap the childen of her variant.

You don't get to condemn Walker for "killing an innocent man" to avenge the murder of his best friend, but also be fine with how Tony tried to brutally murder Bucky despite (and shot him in the back) knowing he was mind- controlled.

You don't have a right to complain about Yelena "continuing to kill after she was freed" and yet make excuses for Clint having gone on the rampage as Ronin and killed hundreds of people during The Snap.

Edit for Ironheart ending: You also don't get to complain about the Thunderbolts "making a deal with the devil" or "working for the bad guy" when Riri Willians made a deal with a literal demon to resurrect the AI version of her friend.

The people condemning the Thunderbolts don't have the moral high ground here. They're just revealing themselves to be hypocrites.

No guys you don’t understand, Alastor cannot be with Charlie because he’s manipulative and evil and Charlie is a wittle naive baby who doesn’t understand anything even though she’s insanely wary of Alastor and knows he’s bad even before meeting him but Vaggie who lied to Charlie for three years about who she really was and was a participant in a genocide who killed thousands of Charlie’s people is clearly the healthy, better partner for Charlie because she felt bad about one kid once, even though Charlie doesn’t listen to her and Vaggie is insanely codependent to a sacrificial level, but the show says it’s healthy and cute so it’s healthy and cute no question asked. Also Alastor’s manipulations and bad intent never apply to Lucifer for some reason, even though I’d say he’s stupider and even more naive than Charlie, but it makes more sense that Charlastor somehow.

Man. This fandom is so wishwashy and cherry picky when it comes to morality. I get disliking Charlastor because it’s just not your thing, you don’t get the chemistry, or whatever but trying to play the moral high ground is just dumb. So many of the same things can apply to other ships in the show but Charlastor gets the whippings and lashings for whatever reason.

I am going to get so many people trying to cancel me or calling me a homophobic Disney adult for saying this, but I'd rather die standing my ground than live on my knees like a sheep.

Make no mistake, other having yet to see Elio, Predator Killer of Killers, and Win or Lose, I love all of these, but it's time that the animation community looks inside themselves and come to terms with their hypocrisy. Though let's be real, doing that would be just as easy as telling Donald Trump to stop being a spoiled racist manchild who thinks he's ruler of the world and can get away with doing whatever he wants.

It genuinely boggles my mind how much the ferally diehard Zuko & Azula apologists will grasp at the most headcanon-leaning straws to justify every single bad action they did in the ATLA series or comics in the name of "nature vs nurture" but show no hesitation whatsoever in giving the most tone-deaf flack to Mai for both actions that don't deserve flack at all AND things that are rightfully acknowledged as bad things/mistakes by even her most adoring fans (Myself included) bc we, as Mai adorers who have the media literacy to look a little deeper than the surface to wholly understand morally complex characterization, can accept the fact that a character is allowed to make bad choices & be imperfect while not justifying their actions by blaming it all on their abuse/trauma or even simply bc we love the character... and the Mai rage-haters just chalk everything up to "Mai is toxic!1!"???

Rhaelya shippers/Targaryen bootlickers complaining about canon accuracy being destroyed with Rhaenys Daughter of Elia & Rhaegar being drawn with a silver streak or purple eyes in art have no leg to stand on, considering these same hypocrite racists have always commissioned or drawn art of Lyanna looking like a sexy 30 year old mother of four at the time of Harrenhal, or even her death scene. When she was 14 at the tourney. 16 when she died in childbirth thanks to Rhaegar's murderous peen.
