Although Louis X reigned for only a year and a half (from November 1314 to June 1316), certain aspects of his policies can be noted. Succeeding Philip IV the Fair, he had to deal with revolts sparked by his predecessor's policies and led by the barons, which he quelled through concessions. Louis attempted to increase royal revenues and initiated several reforms, including the liberation of serfs and allowing Jews to return to France.
