Il Lapislazzuli è una pietra semi-preziosa piuttosto comune, della quale però si sottovalutano spesso le innumerevoli virtù. Analizzando le caratteristiche della sua struttura cristallina e chimica ci è possibile capire subito quanto questa pietra abbia da dare. Il Lapislazzuli mostra infatti un sistema molecolare cubico. Questo ci suggerisce ordine, regole, riflessione e ponderatezza. La composizione chimica costituita principalmente da sodio, calcio, cloro, ferro e alluminio ci parla invece di un ottimo supporto in caso di apatia, affaticamento, nervosismo, impotenza e insicurezza. Il Lapislazzuli trasmette un principio ordinatore al nostro corpo, alla nostre mente e al nostro spirito. Permette, inoltre, di trovare la stabilità. È indicato per persone caotiche e disordinate, che nella loro confusione hanno bisogno di trovare un centro. Le inclusioni di Pirite hanno suggerito nel passato l’immagine di un cielo stellato: è il manto della Dea del cielo Inanna o Ishtar, dea dell’amore, dell’erotismo, della guerra, della fertilità, “Signora della Luce Risplendente”, allo stesso tempo benefica e terrificante come è l’originaria Grande Madre. Corrispondente alla dea romana Venere in seguito verrà sostituita dalla Vergine Maria, della quale l’iconografia è particolarmente ricca del colore blu oltremare, il colore del lapislazzuli spesso ottenuto polverizzando la pietra stessa. Probabilmente, anche per questa antica connessione con il La Cristalloterapia moderna associa il Lapislazzuli a Vishudda, il quinto Chakra o Chakra della gola, ritenendo la gemma blu indicata nei disturbi della laringe, delle corde vocali e del collo in genere. I pianeti che governano questa pietra sono Giove e Venere e la costellazione più affine è quella del Sagittario.
