Just started my first day in medical school

I keep on telling myself to talk to people but I’m way too shy so everyone has friends already while I don’t LMAO

Physiology’s tough lol

The rooms are ridiculously cold but almost everyone looks okay with it

I might change my sleeping schedule to the afternoon so that I don’t need to wake up early

I’m scared of shifting exams

The security guards say “Good morning doc” when we pass by

So many things to do already!!!!!!!!

I’m writing a shit ton of lecture notes right now

But I felt like a junior doctor already hehe

We’ll see how it goes

Any [text]book recommendations?

Hi Medblr! I want to study certain topics in advance before I enter med school this year because I didn’t get to study them in my pre-med course and I feel like I should at least have basic knowledge of them before I enter, ya know? So do you guys have any recommendations on which books (even textbooks or online pdfs or concepts to study or study outline) that can help me with this goal for the following subjects:

physical diagnosis?

pathology

histology

parasitology

applied nutrition

microbiology

embryology

internal medicine

child medicine

Transcribing recordings for our thesis is such a drag, especially because I feel like cringing whenever I hear my own voice 😅 Also, I just took a physical exam for uni requirement and guess who gained a lot of pounds! 🙋 That’s why I decided to go healthy for my snacks today and hopefully I get to keep this up on the following days.

Rewrote my notes in BioChemistry in a nearby cafe 😊 It’s my first time prepping up notes with colored pens and highlighters and I think I did okay for a first timer. My phone’s camera is pretty shitty though 😂
