Louiza: Bronze Arts Award Part D
My Plan:
What Arts Skill are you going to share?
I am going to share how to record and edit on a mobile phone.
How are you going to do it?
I am going to make a presentation on google slides to plan how I am going to deliver my demo about how to record and edit on a mobile phone. I intend to memorise it so i can present it while looking at the person I am preforming to.
What practice or preparation are you going to do?
I will be practising with my friend on a zoom call and she will give me tips on what I can change. and how to be more engaging.
How are you going to make it fun and interesting?
When I am presenting I wont just speak, I will also have parts where i give examples and let people come up and try for themselves.
What will success look like?
If everything goes accordingly, I will present on how to record and edit on a mobile phone. I will give the audience a chance to make a recording and an edit by following my easy instructions. when i am speaking I will try to keep my voice clear and slow to make myself easier to understand.
My Powerpoint Slides:

My Review:
What Went Well?
I would say I was quite good at sticking to the point and not making too many steps. It was also good when I let my audience have a go at recording (that kept them from getting bored).
Did it go According to Plan?
I believe it did go to plan apart from the fact that at some points I stalled or forgot what to say, if I had prepared and rehearsed more I could have probably fixed that issue.
What Would I do Better Next Time?
I would have rehearsed a bit more before presenting. Other wise Ill make the same mistake of forgetting what to say.
What Did Others Think?

Louiza: Bronze Award - Part C Arts Inspiration
My art inspiration is Cole Sprouse

Why Do They Inspire You?
Cole Sprouse inspires me because he started acting from the youthful age of 6 months. He is also not frightened to speak his truth, he uses his social media platforms not only for funny posts but also for political, social and environmental issues. In my view, that makes him quite inspirational.
What Do They Make or Do and How?
Cole Sprouse (who was born on the 4th of August 1992) is an American actor who has shared roles in movies and TV shows with his twin Dylan Sprouse. These shows and films include Big Daddy and Grace, as well as playing single roles in Riverdale and Five Feet Apart. Five Feet Apart is a film about a girl called Stella who has a lung disease so she went on a course to try and cure it. When she's on the course she meets Will (Cole Sprouse- he acts as a rule breaker but slowly softens during the movie). A boy of the same age with the same disease. Because of their disease, they cant be closer than 6 feet or they will probably die. Eventually, they fall in love. It ends on a pretty sad note of Stella nearly dying and will having to say goodbye forever.

What do Other People Think of Their Work?
I would say individually most people like Cole Sprouse for example, I went on a discussion forum and Malissa Lim says “He is so much more than just another Hollywood heartthrob. I realised this when I watched his interviews and hear him speak. Unlike other attractive young actors who are normally admired for the way they look and the roles they play, Cole is very engaging as a person even if you stripped his celebrity status.” However, some would argue they dislike Cole Sprouse, Lacy Womack from ‘The Things’ says “He's not even in the top five best cast members (in my eyes). Between his acting, his attitude, and some of the things he says, it's hard to deny that he's pretty terrible.”
What do I Like About Their Work?
From the way I see it, Cole Sprouse is talented because (in Riverdale for example) he played a role with quite a lot of drama aka jughead jones – which would be quite hard for a normal person to do. In addition to that, Cole seems pretty charismatic, caring and kind.not to mention, I am also a fan of some of the films and tv shows he has taken part in.
What I have found out about their career and technique
I have found that Cole ordinarily likes to play dramatic, romantic and comedy roles. in Five Feet Apart he plays the act of will, this is a very dramatic and romantic role. in addition to that, he usually plays in films and series for teens and young adults.

Louiza: Bronze Art Award - Part B - Be the Audience
What Did You Experience as an Audience Member?
I went to an art exhibition at Somerset House called 24/7, which was about sleep. While there I walked through many rooms with different lighting and sound. It was very interesting to see all the different art pieces and how different they were.
What Did You Like Best And Why?
My favourite art piece was, ‘I Heard There Was a Secret Chord’, by Daily tous les jours. This space worked with chairs on the ground and microphones hanging down from the ceiling. The louder you sung into the mic the more your seat would vibrate. There was also an electronic board up at the wall showing the number of people singing the tune playing in the background. I liked it because I felt that it was very calming.
What was the message?
Overall I believe the gallery was showing the negative side of staying up late or pulling all nighters. The message was talking a look at society and how we as a hole have become more gullible and have become more alive at night. It shows that as much as it is good that we have evolved to this point, it is also bad.
What Forms Were Involved?
I would say the forms involved were; lighting, sculpture, music, and film.
Lighting- In almost all the rooms there was interesting lighting; either different colours or different brightness.
Sculpture- Some rooms had interesting sculptures. e.g ‘The machine zone’. In this room there were robot birds in boxes to show an experiment Mat Collishaw had made on birds. the experiment was to see what influence technology has on us. Each bird was put in a box.If they tapped a button they would get seeds. Mat then made the seeds come randomly. The birds would either tap or they would do different movements to see if the seeds would come. If what they did worked they would keep making the same movements. He found that the same thing was happening to us with games/ technology. If we get rewards on a game usually we would do the same thing we did last time to get the same reward as before, (even though they come randomly).this is

Music- In a few of the rooms, there was different music like, ‘I Heard There Was a Secret Chord.
Film- some of the art pieces included film. e.g . ‘Self portrait as time’. The artist spent 11 hours moving the second hand round and round the clock it was then projected up on the wall.

What Do You Think Could Have Been Done Better?
In my eyes, the exhibition was perfect but, if I had to choose something I would say; having more explanatory art pieces, because it got a bit confusing sometimes. Apart from that, it was amazing!
Would You Recommend It To Others? Explain Why
Yes definitely. I thought it was amazing and very interesting. It would be a treat for anyone else to see it. There are so many rooms and ways to incorporate the art pieces in your everyday life, it was truly breathtaking.
This is a discussion I had with my adviser about the exhibition:

Describe the Art Activity You Are Going to Take Part In
The art activity I am going to take part in is podcasting, through a 12-week project with other younger people at 1 a arts centre. we worked together to come up with the name of the podcast, which is ‘twenty twenteen.’ it’s all about teens and modern life. We have to do graphics, sounds and we have to think of our own episode ideas. We should be posting shortly, in fact, I've already started thinking of episode ideas. This is taking part in the 1A Arts Centre.
This is an image of the the different logo ideas
What Did You Learn?
At the moment, I have been working on sound. I had to make a jingle for the theme tune; a jingle is a mixture of different sounds to make a beat to go in the background of the podcast. The first thing I learned from this experience was how to use garage band to mix sounds/ instruments to make a good beat. It also taught me what a podcast trailer would sound like; for example, we listened to other trailers to try and see how we wanted ours to be.
These are images working on Garage Band.
Describe 3 Things You Enjoyed and Why
Interviewing
I enjoyed this because I had the chance to think of engaging questions. It was quite fun listening through different recordings and hearing the things people had to say.
Music
I had fun making the music to go into the trailer using garage band. The most delightful part was messing around with the different sounds and listening to my favourite ones/making out which went well together the track I created was quite upbeat and modern. In the end, we had a vote as a group to see which track we would use to put in as the theme tune. Mine was chosen. That was quite exciting!
Making Episodes
Finally, I enjoyed writing/ thinking of ideas for podcast episode ideas. The best part was working with a partner and working stuff out
This is an image of me recording the questions for the interview
Describe What Art Skills You Improved
The first art skill I've improved on is social/ technical skills; I improved on these skills by interviewing using an audio recorder. I had to talk to people and be engaging so that I could get the answers that I needed. The technical part was learning to use a recorder and microphone. Another skill I've improved on is creativity and writing; I've picked these up from making episodes. To be more creative I had to come up with ideas for different episodes and as for the writing skills I had to help write scripts.
