If capitalism disappears, what do we do about money? I always see people using money to justify why they do things or why they themselves are important. Any thoughts?

i think money (and markets to some degree) will still be around after capitalism for a bit. eventually tho we will transcend them to arrive at the open source cybernetic gift economy of our dreams and we’ll find fulfilment through other means than currency accumulation as a species

        “I...he did?” That was...a rather sudden bit of new, wasn’t it?

         Had they gotten together without him noticing? He would have figured he would have known about that, or at least something from Bakugou. They were friends, right? At the very least, Bakugou would have trusted him enough to say SOMETHING. Hell, AS Bakugou’s friend, how was it that he never picked something like that up? And Uraraka...he hadn’t realized she felt that way about him. Maybe they weren’t as close, but the girl wore her heart on her sleeve. Wouldn’t she have been the biggest giveaway? Wouldn’t she have asked him for advice about Bakugou? No, she had Midoriya for that.

        Or maybe he just didn’t know his friends as well as he thought. His...friends...

          “Well, that...that’s good!” His friends had gotten together without him knowing. What hurt most was that he had to up and hear it from someone else. He really must not have been as close as he thought if they didn’t even think to tell him themselves. Or for him to be finding this out just now. Was he even the first of anyone to know? Did everybody else know? Was he the last? He really hoped he wasn’t. He especially hoped that he wasn’t the only one who hadn’t known up to this point.

         “Heh, they really deserve each other, y’know! Can’t believe I didn’t piece it together sooner." He was Bakugou’s equal? “The manliest girl and the manliest guy in the class! They’re the perfect power couple!” He was a good friend to them? “Heh, shoulda known those sparks had really flown after their Sports Fest fight.” Yeah fuckin’ right. 

          “I really wish ‘em the best!” Well, there was nothing he could do about it now, was there?
