Jimmy Eat World are an American alternative rock band from Mesa, Arizona that formed in 1993. The band is composed of vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch and drummer Zach Lind.

We have noticed that all these huge indie stalwarts' current works show a certain acceptance of their contemporary position within the modern music scene, i.e. they move along. Jimmy Eat World, for instance, don't set the world on fire with their latest, because they intent to carry on Surviving as they did after their greatest successes. They know they have their audience, so they proceed according to that. Of course, this is nothing out of the ordinary, many musicians eventually reach the point, where they become dependent on their fans, but one does feel surprised that such course of events affect the indie musicians as well. Then again, maybe the side projects they have alongside their main gig provides them with the experimentation.
