Parsley is Doing Great!! She is a healthy bun! Eating all the food, hopping everywhere, binkies all around. She made it! The vet said she was in early stages of GI stasis when we first took her in but she rescued her just in time. Personally, I am all for adopting from shelters, since bunnies are the 3rd most abandoned pet right under cats and dogs. This is also the time of year where most people impulse by them for Easter. Bunnies are a huge commitment. They require a lot or work and attention and space. They cannot be cooped up in a cage, they need exercise, hay on a daily basis, interaction, fresh greens everyday for food and all the love you give your dogs or cats. They can live anywhere from 8-12 year and weigh anywhere from 2-20 pounds! Rabbits are a long term pet, so think before you get a bunny as you would before getting a cat or dog. Also adopt. There are so so many bunnies in shelters! And there are perks to getting you Bun companion from a shelter. They are more often than not already fixed. Having them fixed improves their life in a healthy way and helps out you at home as fixed bunnies are cleaner with their bathroom habits and usually uses a litter box. They are also more often than no litter trained so less mess and work for you. Take time to research Rabbits and how to give them the best life you can. If you love them, they will loyally love you.
