Mission name: Badusha Ground set up: Maida/all purpose flour - 1cup Curd - 2tbsp Ghee - 2tbsp Salt - 1pinch Baking soda - 1pinch Cardamom - 1no Sugar - 1cup Water - half cup Oil - 2cups Saffron strands - 2nos No. of disasters per fire: 5persons How to launch: 1. Take a bowl to add maida + curd + salt + ghee and knead it into a soft dough. Rest the dough for 15mins. (If the dough is hard you can add water or curd to loosen it) 2. For the sugar syrup heat a pan in a bowl, add sugar + water + cardamom + saffron and let the sugar dissolve. Boil it for 5mins and turn off the stove. 3. Take lemon sized balls from the dough and just give it a press like cutlets/patties or fold it inwardly. 4. Heat a kadai add oil and fry the badushas 2at a time in medium flame for about 3-4mins, until it turns light brown. 5. Cool it for 5minutes and immerse the badushas completely into the sugar syrup for about 15minutes and dry them. Mission launched: Sweet served after meals or for any occasions for guests. Post mission expedition: 1. Adding saffron strands are optional. 2. Resting the dough will give you soft and layered badushas. 3. Don't fry the badushas at high flame as it will be uncooked inside and the sugar syrup will not be absorbed. 4.
