☡Caution: Diary Entry #1,736☡ Wow, what a crazy month....my empathetic heart and soul can't handle all this. There is so much hate and anger in the world right now that it has been draining me mentally, physically, and emotionally. Why is it sooo hard for people to just breathe/exist/live?! We have survived worse. We have endured evil and fought back. We have stared danger in the face and showed it who's boss. We have discovered other galaxies wayyy beyond our tiny human brains capacity to fully even grasp. And yet, we continue to get hung up and stuck on unimportant little things in life that don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. When I look, really look at someone, I don't see their religion, sexual orientation, social status, bank statement, or who they voted for...but instead, I see a human being. An individual with a story. A human with a past, present, and future. I believe in treating others with respect, but I also believe that to be respectED you have to be respectFUL. It isn't just a luxury you get to continually suck dry from someone....you have to exude and return it. Just like love and friendship. If you want to receive love, you have to give it. If you want to build true friendships to last the years, you have to knuw how to be one. Life has a way of not allowing anyone to stay the same. We are ALL constantly growing and evolving. Even if you fight and try to not change, circumstances/people give us no other option. Don't fight the currents though, because then you only exhaust yourself and end up drowning in the end. Just learn to go with it. Pick your battles, because there are just some things you can't change. At the end of the day, you are ultimately left with only yourself. Honestly, who cares what others think of you?! Who cares that you didn't meet someone's unrealistic expectations of you?
