Is love to you a gradual process or a spark?

None of the above. 

Connection (”chemistry”) is a spark and trust is a gradual process, but love is a choice, and it’s one I make every single day through the actions and sacrifices I make for my loved ones. What most people equate with love these days is really just lust, infatuation, and/or liking something strongly but to me true love has always been an action verb, it’s never been a feeling, and it’s consistently expressed through concrete and tangible ways. This is how I know whether or not I truly love someone, it’s not from how I ‘feel’ towards them at the current moment because feelings are fickle, unreliable, and can change by the second depending on the situation, but whether or not I’m willing to move heaven and hell for them. 

For those I love, I absolutely do.
