"Hey, aren't you the guy that deals with the code 65's?" While EMS and the 'clean up crew' didn't often cross paths while on the job, Kyle could recall swapping a cigarette or two with Ennie on the nights where the EMT just...needed a minute once shifting from an emergency to a DOA. At least once a month, there was always a job that got to him, ones that had him sitting in his van well after the scene was cleared and ready to be decontaminated, and it seemed like every time it was Ennie he'd see in the aftermath.

"Kinda weird seein' you without one of us covered in blood." A statement that drew a few eyes from passerbys while Kyle offered a handshake in greeting (with him ensuring to extend the right one, seeing as most people acted weird when it came to the burn scars along the left side of his body). "That must be Bagel, yeah? 'member you mentioning him a time or two while on th' clock...can I pet 'im?"

Midnight had sat beside the nest made of fresh leaves, her knees hugged close to her chest. The next was originally intended for herself; a sort of little nest to take refuge in when she needed to speed up her patrols, but, if someone needed them more, she would be inclined to let them.

She watched as the poor human crawled right in, and couldn't help but let her ears drop-- he seemed so tired...but from what? Surely, he couldn't have been...

"...How did you get here? In the forest?"

     “Where ya’ heading to?” the shadow asked as she seated herself on the subway’s chairs. “It’s gonna be a long trip before the next destination. I hope ya’ don’t mind ghosts~.”

Gabriel stood somewhat uncomfortably. He was twenty, almost twenty one, and he just wanted a drink. He had a fake ID, one that he hoped looked accurate. As he waited for the bartender to hand it back, he shifted slightly. Just waiting for his response to ordering a drink was killing him already. He just wanted to get it over with and get on with his night. But when it was handed back and the man refused, Gabriel felt an anger fill him.

“What do you mean no?” He demanded. The man shook his head once more.

“I won’t serve you. This ID seems fake to me. I won’t accept it.” Gabriel growled.

“I’m a paying customer. That’s no fake ID!” He said, getting louder. It wasn’t long before another person came up behind him and grabbed his shoulder, leading him to the door. Gabriel’s face was bright red. How had he been caught like this?

The door was opened and Gabriel was tossed out, bumping right into someone just beyond the door. The man throwing Gabriel out gave a quick apology to the girl before heading back inside. Gabriel took a step back and glanced at the girl before him before scowling.

“Fuckin move.” He grumbled, pushing past her to start walking home.

     “What sorta parties do you throw, Takki? To tell you the truth, I never got invited to any ‘cause I’m not a normie, but you actually plan those for a living, right? Are they hosted at these huge, lavish houses with fancy chandeliers, long winding staircases, and secret dungeons?” As Vivian speaks, childish curiosity laces her tone. For someone who claims she isn’t a ‘normie’, however, she sure seems awfully fascinated by the idea of parties.

Kazuichi knew Ennie couldn’t stick around this time, it being dangerous and all with a literal dead body just chilling somewhere in the city, but that didn’t mean he had to be happy about it...

It had taken a moment for Ennie to untangle himself from his lover-turned-octopus, the mechanic giving a half hearted whine when the janitor finally broke free, body practically following him off the mattress as he slumped over the side like an overdramatic child. 

Pulling himself back up, something that took considerably more effort than usual with the soreness settling into his body now that they were through, Kaz nabbed Ennie’s cigarettes from the nightstand despite his own being in his jumpsuit a surprisingly short ways away on the floor, having to struggle with the lighter with a muttered curse before he was finally able to light it, taking a deep inhale as the end of the smoke burned brightly. 

“Yeah, whatever.” He said after he exhaled, chucking Ennie’s lighter at him in hopes it would bounce of his chest. “Get ‘nother one ‘f those, would ya? That one sucks.” Even though he sounded irate about it all were he mumbled around the smoke, there was a playful smirk on his face as he flopped back down, inhaling deeply on the cigarette once again before blowing a few smoke rings into the air to amuse himself. 

Before Ennie could leave though, Kaz had sat back up, a sheepish look on his face as he called out to the other man. “Hey...can I, um...c-can I have a kiss before you go?” He didn’t know why he was so nervous about asking, considering the guy had pretty much just fucked his brains out no less then maybe ten minutes before he got the call into work, but the mechanic’s face held a bright flush nonetheless. “...Please?” He added for good measure, a sharp canine poking out of his hopeful little grin.

𝚃𝙾 𝙶𝚁𝙸𝙵𝙵𝙸𝚃𝙷, the storm outside was a calming agitation. The water droplets hitting the old structure sounded like pellets of dew entering a calming stream-- it was a welcome grounder for his reaction to the space he was in. The man looked around the tattered building, raising an eyebrow to the seemingly seamless wall. What was of this? Brick walls with no bricks, nor spackle to place them? Why were they so uniform, yet bright and colorful writings decorated it?

It was obvious that he wasn’t in Midland anymore. 

The young man stood, his pale hand tracing the dusty walls as he gazed around. He barely recognized anything; the things he did recognize looked so out of place. Glass wasn’t stained, tables looked old if not flimsy enough, and the air felt stale. The one thing he did recognize however, were footsteps. Quietly as ever, he followed the sound until he turned the corner-- and there he was, with another person before his eyes. His cloths seemed a little on the thin side for his liking, but he must be used to it.

The young Griffith gazes down, his eyes piercing. “Excuse me, but are you alright?” By the looks of it, no, but just to make sure.

It’s one of those humans, great.

Naezael promptly lifts Lucrezia higher, using her free hand to tilt the woman’s head to meet her own gaze. The hidden Seraph had golden eyes, which looked quite like the Demon’s if it wasn’t for they’re ethereal glowing gaze. Admittedly, she can see why Apollyon took to this human-- she was rather...spunky, when pulled into certain situations.

“Calm down, I’m not asking for money,” She asserted calmly, her gaze melting into the other. “I’m here on a business trip to find people like you. Is your name Lucrezia?”

Slowly, she turns her gaze to the younger human, her gaze softening a little. They must be some sort of family. 

Naezael will let out a small huff, lowering the human girl to the ground, however she does not let go to her shirt’s fabric. She can’t have the little doll running away now.
