So I’m gonna try the @lovelikeyoursfest prompts! I should have held onto Muriel and Cleo’s wedding for today but oh well, it was posted yesterday so everyone can still enjoy!
Pairing: Asra x OC! Andi
Post-Death
Start of Something New
The morning sun slowly illuminated the empty streets of Vesuvia almost as if even it was dragging along lazily. Soft golden light spread to the citizens in an effort to gently wake up the city but in the magic shop the two magicians snuggled deeper into their blankets.
In the middle of a large pile of pillows and blankets, Asra reached out to pull Andi even closer till her back was firmly pressed against his chest. Andi wound her leg around his and they almost drifted back to sleep. The light streamed through a crack in their curtains and managed to shine directly in Asra’s eyes. Grumpily he lifted his head to find the offending source of light. Instead he stopped to stare at the scene around him.
Andi laid peacefully curled in his arms with her hair wildly stuck out around her, though since they’d cut it after her return it wasn’t as bad as it used to be. Asra smiled at the memories of waking up with a face full of her long hair, he’d loved to tease her about it. Faust was still fast asleep laying on a pillow next to Andi, she’d probably been inside the blankets all night. Over beside the bed the baby’s cot was silent, she’d started sleeping in just like her parents. Asra fought the urge to get up and go stare at his daughter.
Andi wiggled slightly into Asra’s chest and he moved to wrap his arm around her when he was suddenly hit with a thought.
‘This is it, this is my home.”
The shop below was filled with amazing things he’d traveled all over to discover. The apartment above was filled with love from the woman who’d found him and the beautiful child they’d made together. In a little bit he would get up and coax the stove salamander to heat up the kettle, Faust would curl around him, Andi would wake up to the smells of him preparing breakfast and everything would be just right.
“Perfect,” he whispered to himself.
Andi groaned slightly and rolled to face him with heavy eyes.
“Hm... what was that... my love?” The sleep still clung to her words. Asra smiled and leaned down to capture her lips. He could feel her smile in the kiss.
“Mm, well good morning to you too. Is the baby still asleep?” Andi stretched out with a sigh.
“Yes, luckily for us,” he winked. Andi grinned back and reached to pull him back in for a more awake kiss. Asra pulled away though to her confusion. He brushed the hair from her face and searched her brilliant blue eyes.
“I want to marry you,” he whispered.
Silence filled the space but as Asra watched the words sink into Andi’s brain her eyes lit up and tears formed.
“Asra... are you being serious?” Her voice choked a bit as the tears began to slide down her cheeks. Asra brushed them away.
“Yes, I want to be with you forever. I want to shower you with love and wake up every morning to your beautiful face. I know we’ve already promised each other but now I want to scream it to the world”
Their shared heart beat wildly and the couple reached for each other to lay their foreheads together.
“I want you but more than that I want to give you all of me.”
Andi gave a short laugh.
“You sacrificed half of your heart for me, I couldn’t ask for more than that.”
“I want to give you the rest of it. Will you marry me?”
Andi opened her mouth to respond but was quickly interrupted by the sounds of a baby waking up quite hungry. The pair looked towards the cot, their daughter sure knew how to make an entrance. They both looked at each other and dissolved into laughter.
“Of course I’ll marry you Asra but it’s definitely your turn to get the baby.”
