The first time i ever heard @taylorswift i was about 8 or 9. My friend (at the time) and her sister had come over to my house to have a playdate with me and my 2 sisters. Well, while they were over they told us about this song they heard by this singer named Taylor Swift.
They told us how good this song was. So finally, we decided to going into my dads office and go search up this AMAZING song they kept going on about.
I remember sitting there on my dads chair squished next to this other little girl, surrounded by my sisters and hers. We watched/listened to this music video about a girl with long curly blonde hair who was crying on her guitar over a boy. And she had the most sparkly makeup and a long shiny green dress, and in that moment i just fell in love with her and the music/words she was singing.
If you couldnt guess, that song is Teardrops On My Guitar. It was the very first time i ever heard taylor sing or act and it created this love i have for really emotional and raw music.. my favorite kind of music, music that can usually make me cry at the drop of a hat.
Another extremely vivid memory i have involving taylor....
When i was 12 i had a Bat Mitzvah. At the end of the night the dj looked over at me and said, "Shayna, its time for the last song, what song am I playing?" I remember looking around and thinking about all of the best dance/party songs and thinking they’re not good enough. I just wanted to hear Teardrops, which had quickly become my favorite song since a few years ago. It was so fun singing and dancing to TOMG that night. I was so happy that I chose a song I truly loved instead of a song I thought people would want to dance to.
I still talk about that story like it just happened yesterday. I dont think ill ever forget my memories involving Taylor..
PS. Im 21 now... its been a long 13 years with her😊 I cant wait to turn 22😏 in January...😉
