"Lovers, Actually" written for my dear friend @go-catch-a-chickn ❤ Thomas has always liked looking at Newt; he's got this effortless attractiveness to him, he looks good without trying too hard, and maybe Thomas would envy him for it if it wasn't for this strange pull in his chest he always feels in the other’s presence. Everything about Newt is familiar and yet Thomas never tires of looking at him. He knows exactly what it is that he's feeling, has known it for a while now, and he also knows that these are not exactly feelings appropriate to have about your best friend. You'd think they’d eventually wear off since Thomas never allows himself to delve deeper into them, but Newt's effect on him is impossible to evade. He can't undo what he found in Newt and yet he could never pursue it, because he’s too scared of jeopardising a friendship that means so much more to him than he's ready to admit.
