Hey Guys. Sorry for the low quality gif (old samsungs just aren't made for them) but this is what I've been working on for the last 5 months. This 5'x5' blanket made with 9 colors, 176 rows, and just over 28,000 stitches is finally complete.
I made this blanket for my mother after our 14 year old dog died. Odie was my mom's dog and I was torn when I watched my mother cry for only the second time in my life. I figured she would like something to remember Odie by and, after finding a few photos of the dog from throughout her life, I decided to make my biggest project yet.
I felt bad after showing my mother the gift this morning (she didn't know I was making it) and I watched as she teared up. I know my mom will never have another dog like Odie again, and there's nothing left aside from her old leather collar. The blanket turned out as well as I could've dreamed and I'm glad my mom likes it.
Thank you guys for the support along the way as I completed this project and I hope you plan on sticking around for future projects. This one meant a lot to me personally and I was happy to have you all along for the ride.
