To the Loveybug fans, Happy Valentine’s Day! I haven't really been able to dabble much with the AU (or much of anything) lately, but here's an idea I posted on the Loveybug Zine discord server that I never did anything with. Enjoy!
After Kwami’s Choice, Marinette decides to test how Monarch found out Scarabella and Kitty Noire so fast by having her and Chat make secondary identities as bait. After figuring out how to change her own transformation, she meets up with Chat at a private location and tells him her plan and that he needs to create his own new identity. Chat sheepishly admits he already has one (cue her freaking out about him lying to her and/or the fact that Chat had a Catwalker side of him she never knew about). Ladybug then explains that her own new form was born from her wanting to flirt with her new boyfriend and that if she goes more than a minute or two without flirting, she instantly reverts back to being Ladybug (which would ruin the plan). Ladybug asks Chat if he’d be okay with her flirting with him and that he not read too much into it; Chat assures her that Catwalker will be the perfect gentleman and not flirt back. Once the plan is put into action, though, it becomes increasingly difficult for Catwalker to deal with Loveybug (who he knows is Ladybug and who is acting like his girlfriend Marinette on steroids) being so completely affectionate with him. He asks Loveybug if there’s anything she can do to sustain her Loveybug side longer on her own and the only thing she can think of is to flirt with her boyfriend more—except she’s still got constant foot-in-mouth disease whenever Marinette and Adrien are in the same room, so she decides a different tactic: flirt with him as Loveybug (since Loveybug actually can flirt). Cue Loveybug showing up at Adrien’s window being the most flirtatious she’s ever been and Adrien, after he remembers who Loveybug was planning to flirt with, realizes that he is Ladybug’s boyfriend and that she’s Marinette. [insert reveal shenanigans here]
