Day 8: What is the most supportive thing anyone has said to you about your self harm? It's almost midnight and the day is almost over. This question took me a while to ponder which is what has taken me so long. But the most important thing someone has said to me is, I still love you. For me this is huge, because I've felt unlovable because of the scars, because I keep relapsing, because I feel damaged. But know that someone can still love me, means a lot especially when I can't love myself. So many people have told me that they love me since finding out about this. They definitely don't understand why I do it, but they love me despite knowing why. So to all those that have allowed me to really open up to them and have told me that I matter and that they love me, thank you!! You have no idea what words like that mean to me. To my family, thanks so much for sticking by my side through these years and always loving me and trying to do what you think is best for me. For my kiddos, thanks for always loving momma, and knowing when I need extra hugs and cuddles, you two have gave me more than you'll ever know. And to my love, Andrew, I'm sorry that you have to put up with a woman like me, but thank you for loving me and never giving up on me.
