4, 14 & 32 (I hope you're having a lovely day and I love your blog btw!)
Heyy! Thank you for dropping by with these :D Strap in...
4. What is your favourite memory
Ok, so... I suck at favorites. So I’ll give one I particularly treasure and go with that;
Opening my MSc results envelope and finding the results I’d been hoping for. Honestly, the relief? Bliss.
14. Do you believe in fate, or is everything just a coincidence
I’m in STEM, so... law of large numbers, baby. Each to their own, and if you believe in Fate you do you.
32. How do you define beauty
A bullshit societal construct. But on a less salty note... I don’t define it. I find beauty in all sort of things (people’s actions, landscapes, art, nature... and yes, people’s looks sometimes), and I’m not good enough with words to explain why.
REVIEW: Loving Vincent (2017)
Genre: Animation/Drama/Biography
Stunning visuals. Innovative storytelling. Sensational masterpiece. A dazzling achievement. One for the books.
How every single shot you see in the film is painstakingly painted by 125 artists in a span of 6 years is truly remarkable. The uniqueness of this film may, however, be the single most noted aspect of the movie, which, perhaps, may have covered up for the plot’s composition, which I believe, was ineffective. Although the actors’ portrayal of the characters were very well-suited for the story’s setting, the dialogues were quite dragging, thereby making it a little boring to watch. The story does have substance and was interesting, and I can’t help but feel a little sorry that the writers weren’t able to maximize the potential of the storyline.
Nonetheless, I believe “Loving Vincent” is an astonishing feat for the global film industry, and a fitting tribute to the great painter, Vincent Van Gogh. It still deserves to be seen and to be praised.
