Omg I completely forgot! I’m sorry! Ok here’s the abridged version then I will hit you w the real one tomorrow (fr this time lol) and I’ll add details and links to some stuff :))

2016 - they get cast in spiderman, now if I’m remembering correctly, T says he knew who Z was from one of her dancing in the car vids and joked about her being his celebrity crush

2017/2018 - the spiderman hoco press tour, they’re already getting dating rumors as costars do, but they’re vehemently denying this. However their actions are NAWT matching their words bc they’re so incredibly sloppy w it 😭 Tom is talking about his girlfriend to strangers, Z is accidentally posting snaps meant for her boyfriend like omg control it! This is also when T posted her Joan of Arc met look on his insta, like he really didn’t gaf at all that day

Note, Z was very strict about her public dating life, so even though it was pretty obvious they were dating, we knew we wouldn’t get a confirmation any time soon.

OH! How could I forget Thanksgiving !!! Now this was really the tomdaya holy grail, I forgot who’s snap it was on, but someone from Z’s family I’m pretty sure. There was a video of them sitting close together on the couch then Tom in the background of a photo and when I tell you this caused mass pandemonium!! Like I actually can’t describe it, you really had to be there

ALSO! Spin class w Z’s mom that Z confirmed on Jimmy Fallon was early on in their relationship

AND! Skai Jackson momma of all fucking people confirmed their relationship in somebody instagram comments (which ofc they denied)

2019/2020 🫩 - the dark days… tomdaya nation was taking hit after hit after fucking hit. So we notice they stop being seen together and we’re speculating bc there’s been sightings of w someone else but nothing concrete then BOOM! He nuked us

He dropped these on his main insta (once again, yes I have these still saved, I have to remind myself I can survive hard things sometimes) THEN BAM! Like right after Z pops out w Jacob Elordi. I have never been sicker in my fucking life, like this was defcon fucking 3, we didn’t know how we were gonna come back from this one

The bravest of us did theorize that the distance and Tom wanting to be more public got the best of them but we held out hope that they would come back together bc the FFH press tour would start soon.

So the press tour starts and they’re tryna keep it cute but you can definitely tell something is a lil up but there’s still hope!

Then… N (girl in the pics) friends start posting shady shit about tz and we start seeing them out and around each other more, and it became clear J and N were just rebounds (bless em but shit had to happen #sosorry)

THEN 2021 - when all became right in the world again…

Pap pics get released of them walking out of Z (or her moms I don’t actually remember) house w a cake and then BAM they’re kissing over the console at a red light and I do believe the heavens opened briefly that day in July

And then the rest is history and now they’re engaged and have each others initials tatted

I’m sorry that was so rudimentary, it was all off the top of my head so some timing stuff might be a lil off but those were the really big moments. Thank you for being patient, I’ll be back tomorrow 💗

1. I like my hair ever since I cut it.

I cut my hair short on a whim when I was 14 and then regretted it immensely bc I missed having long hair. I tried to grow it back to the way it was despite everyone telling me my hair would look better short and in the end I cut it short in March of this year and it looks good.

(Even better : the last song that played in the hair salon while I was cutting my hair was Good Luck Babe! and then when I left there was a nice breeze that lifted my hair up I felt like I was in a movie it was awesome)

2. I reread one of the fanfics I wrote recently and despite a few glaring typos that I fixed, I was proud of how much my writing has improved. Usually when I reread stuff I wrote a while ago it makes me cringe (the pjo self insert fic I wrote when I was 14… it’s never seeing the light of day that was embarrassing) and who knows maybe in 5 years my writing will have improved again and I’ll cringe at that fic too but it’s a sign I’ve improved nonetheless and that’s good too.

3. I love that one of my middle names (I have two, one in French and one in Mandarin) was chosen by a Chinese astrologer and one of its first meanings is literally “gay”. I am aware they meant gay as in happy but let me have this. I was always meant to be gay it was written in the stars.

(This is an explanation of what my name means written by my grandfather. I looked at it recently with my friends to show them what my name meant and had a good laugh at one of the first definitions being “gay”)

4. I went to my grandparent’s house (I’m there right now) and they kept some old class photos of us when we were younger. I looked so adorable as a kid.

5. People often tell me I have nice handwriting and I love that. (It depends though, when I need to write fast my handwriting greatly deteriorates)

I’m actually pretty big into paleontology! I really wanted to be a paleontologist when I was younger but I then realized I wasn’t smart enough for that…. I like prehistoric animals and plants and stuff but I can’t remember them off the top of my head.

So I stuck to art and went down the animation route.

Hello!

Thank you for checking in on me. I know I've been more quiet than usual and I am fine. Tired, honestly. My energy has been low the past few weeks and I don't know exactly what the cause is yet (nothing serious though) so yeah, just resting.

Also had a bunch of life stuff to take care of. Work was very hectic for a while (and is fortunately calming down). I help care for a relative who has dementia. And my house needed some work too.

All that to say - I'm doing well, but I just haven't been in the writing mood. So I will get back into Wanderers, I promise! Just be patient. I'll definitely share when I start the next chapter.

I'm notoriously awful at sorting characters because I love them all from the bottom of my heart. I used @justine-the-guillotine 's sorter here, but most match-ups were decided by who I'd rather see win in a rap battle, so some characters are artificially low just based on how funny I think it'd be to see them lose.

Actually, I don't think this list is accurate at all... You can tell that very early on I went "lol Juuto should totally kick Samatoki's ass" (I love Samatoki to death, probably more than Juuto) and "lol Gentarou should absolutely fuck with Dice" (Dice is 1000% in my top 3). You can also tell I thought it was hilarious to let the BBs, especially Saburou, sweep the adults.

Hmm. It's difficult to determine favorites in a more objective fashion because I like them all so, so much in different contexts. Take Samatoki, for instance. If the context is Juuto vs Samatoki rap battle, then of course I want to see Samatoki lose. You know Juuto would be soooo smug and Samatoki would be soooo butthurt. But if the context is MTC as a whole, then I love Samatoki most of all for the emotional glue (against all odds!) that holds his team together. If it's MTC vs the other teams, maybe Samatoki and MTC take a back seat so other fans can enjoy them. MTC vs DH? Sasara, get his ass lmao; return of the Samatoki salt. But Mad Comic Dialogue (w/ or w/o Kuukou and Ichirou)? Favorite by a landslide for the love and care he provides again and again. Samatoki vs Nemu? Nemu takes the lead, but if it's Samatoki AND Nemu against another sibling pair, then they'd probably win for their fantastic sibling character arc and powerful love. TDD? Here, I think the dynamics favor Ichirou; still, I appreciate how he watches out for Ichirou in this blended group. Then every time I work on him, I think "Oh, he's my favorite character of all." Hahaha. That's how it goes for all of them!

It's not exactly the same as with series where I'm not just a fan, but I think that it's hard to work on a series for years and not fall in love with its stories and characters. It's also different from OCs or beloved characters from franchises I enjoy as a fan, because it's not like I'm adding new ideas or using the stories to tell characters I want to tell. (Indeed, even though I haven't been writing on this account much recently anyway, I've all but stopped writing Hypmic fanstories in the past couple of years--it's become too odd to me to strip the characters of their canon contexts and apply my own values and stories.) It's more like, because they're not my characters, it's all the more important to love them. I have to hold them gently--but not like they're made of glass--so that I don't drop any of the love the creators had for them, and it's an honor to be trusted (if just by the fandom, in Hypmic's case) to be the conduit for the creator's love. I don't love them as their creators love them, but I love them as their creators want them to be loved--or my closest understanding of it, if that makes sense.

That's all to say, even if a character ends up at the bottom of an arbitrary list, I'm still so, so fond of them, and thinking of them brightens up my day. I hope they brighten up your days as well.

i almost didn’t post this. i was going to delete it, because honestly these words didn’t deserve space on my blog. but actually no. people should see the kind of vile shit some of you feel comfortable saying behind an anon button.

sit with those words for a second. really read it. because this is the level of cruelty some of you operate at while pretending you’re morally superior in fandom discourse.

10–20% of young adult women will struggle with an eating disorder before they even hit 40. the most common age range is under 25. i am 25 years old, and i’ve been dealing with body image issues and disordered eating since i was 12 because of comments exactly like this. every year around 1,000 young women die from anorexia.

i’m not sharing those numbers to sound smart or dramatic. i’m sharing them because this is the real-world impact of words like yours. i sat with this message for weeks. weeks. rereading it, letting it crawl under my skin, letting it convince me to eat less and less.

that album cover was the first time i let something physical about me exist alongside my music. i stepped way outside my comfort zone, got dressed up, went out into the snow, and took photos because i was proud of my craft. proud enough to finally attach my body to the art i make.

and i actually think louis would be pretty fucking proud of that too.

so if anyone still thinks some antis or solos are these pure little victims who can do no wrong, think again. because this is the kind of cruelty some of you throw at people for existing in the same fandom as you. and if, by some chance, the person who sent this is a larrie? that’s even worse.

if the only way you know how to exist online is by trying to make someone hate their own body, that says everything about you and absolutely nothing about me. because i would never, ever, in my life comment on another woman’s body like that. not yours, not anyone’s.
