In all seriousness though, she often thought that Ben really was the only sensible person in the Academy, other than Mom and Pogo. All of their other siblings fought, and often. Perhaps except for Vanya, but she was always so quiet and in the background she probably wouldn’t have been able to start one if she tried. Ben was the only one who never seemed to provoke anyone just because he could and when Allison was tired of listening to the fighting, Ben was the one she could always go to to simply relax. Ben was her calm in the storm. She didn’t have to pretend with him, put on any fake form of confidence she wore out in public or around the Academy when their dad was about or when their other siblings came to ask her about something- she seemingly had all the answers to everything, after all. But Ben knew the only thing she did have was the ability to pay attention to the world around her. So she never pretended with him.
