Sebastian expects the worst seeing @lowerqualityrp sat at his kitchen table. He'd only gotten up to get water, suddenly feeling parched in the middle of the night, and his immediate reaction upon seeing Joseph up is the fear something had gone wrong.

He wouldn't have blamed him for it, considering. Kidman had showed up one day with Joseph in tow, saying she'd finally found him at an off-shoot facility from Mobius' main headquarters. Sebastian had asked for details and she told him he wouldn't like what he'd hear; after that, he didn't ask again.

"You... have a nightmare or something?" Sebastian tries asking as he walks in the room. He gets a glass like usual and fills it at the sink like usual, but all his senses are on Joseph and his answer--

...and hearing that makes Sebastian let out a breath he wasn't aware he was holding.

"First time I ever heard of a good dream getting someone out of bed," he says, but the slight curve of his lips gives his relief away. "Does that mean it was really nice, or not nice enough?"

Charles huffs lightly through his nose, taking another puff of his cigarette.

"I must've overestimated your status in your family, then."

Then, dripping with sarcasm, "I'm sorry. You can go back to Daddy, then."

Feeling his own arm use a pillow to thwap himself in the face makes Rhys groan as he wakes, however groggily, in response.

"What the hell!?" he whispers-- more like hisses, really, he's doing his best to shout without shouting. "What'd I tell you about moving my arm like that?"

At least Vaughn doesn't move from where he sleeps beside him. And Sasha, Fiona, and Athena on the other end of the caravan don't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary, either.

Rhys glares at the hologram as he sits up, one hand rubbing at his eye.

"Come on, Jack, it's four in the morning. Can't this wait?"

“Well. Only two... And one got killed right in front of me, apparently a siren, the other is Lilith who can probably help you reach your full potential. Just that she’s a different kind of siren.”

Oh. Right they were asking if he had seen them... “So in other words, yeah I have. Just not many... From what I heard, only six can be around at any time. Weird, but oh well...”

He took a swig of his alcohol. His poor Bloodwing...

“I’d direct you to Lilith to learn. She should be in Sanctuary still after everything that’s happened...”

They’re changing him, Booker can tell, especially considering he’s been in Ethan’s space everyday for weeks now. Whatever it is the Connections is doing to him, it’s making his body a different shape, a different smell, a different kind. Booker likes the scent of him in general-- Ethan is synonymous to home now, with how Booker is chained to the man’s bed every night to force him to stay there-- but Ethan’s been getting sweeter and sweeter, and it makes him restless.

Often when Ethan tells him to stay away, Booker will listen if his handlers aren’t there. Even in the steadily drug-addled state of his mind Booker knows consent, knows fear, and does his damnedest to stay away from causing any issues in that vein. They might exist to create children, but what little part of him still believes in fate is sure they fail in doing it every time for a reason.

He’s never particularly wanted to sleep in Ethan’s bed before, opting instead to stay on the floor when necessary. Tonight, though, he’s kneeling at the edge of it, dipping his head and taking whiffs of Ethan’s shoulder.

He’s so sweet it’s sickening. Booker’s feathers stand on edge, and his wings ruffle as his claws curl and uncurl against the tile floor.

“Maya?” Mordecai hopped down from the “roof” of his cave home. “I coulda taken your head off, chica.”

He almost sounded alarmed as he landed near the siren, brushing himself off and stowing his trusty old Tediore revolver.

“Lo siento—eh…” He shrugged listlessly. “C’mon in….?”

Mordecai’s gesture was feeble, as if he hoped she would refuse him.
