When I was first introduced to Photoshop halftone screen effect (circa 2000) I initially got hooked into its retro dot pattern look and tried to integrate it in some of my layouts. During that time it became a trend within our design team, to the point that it was over used client discouraged us of usage. Now with the distressed textures pattern, lines etc. the effect is making a big comeback in my illustrations forming an integral part in my style execution. . .
