Walt Disney Pictures (Bambi 1988 Theatrical Reissue)
that one guy ( dulce ref )
berry
Berry blue memories pressed between pages of a book you gave me- unread
Stained like my carpet freshman year of college where we played spin the bottle,
just the two of us with blackberry wine on our breath
Sitting three pages apart
Refusing to kiss
Or laugh
We look at eachother that way and you just sigh
I grow old in ways now
Wanting my lovers to beg
For anything at all,
at all,
At all
Love is mourning, painful and tired
Ached over breaths on sheets
Unfurled at the edges
But tight like my fists
Knuckles brazen
Sometimes all I think about
The way you used to sigh
So we would kiss other people other times
Until it hurt so good
But you and I
We’d just sit alone in my apartment
In that corner under the stairs
Spinning green glass in the blurred light of my tv
Playing some static weather program
Snow is falling outside
I play ‘Raspberry Beret’
but you don’t know Prince
Don’t know shit else just
songs from films and punk rock
You look at me that way, like a million times before
And like a million times before I return glances
At all, we refuse to kiss or laugh or touch at all, at all
Angst is agony is sacrifice is more
And so you spend another night
Laying beside me on the floor
Writing poems about me
And emailing them to me to critique
I dye my hair about it
One of those times we play
You forget which bottle is full
And so
Your love lives vicariously through a plum colored circle on my brown carpet
Unremoveable even by dish soap
At all, permanent long after we don’t know eachother at all, at all
You used to give me books for gifts
And I would picture myself
Thumbing through the pages
In a coffee shop
waiting for someone else to sit down
Someone I love, someone else at all
Because it is easier that way
Missing you vicariously through
Never reading those books
You were one of those people
Never forgot a birthday, never forgot a moment
Pressed between lips
Three pages apart
You kiss me vicariously through
Other people
It hurts so good
At all, we don’t love eachother at all, at all
I never get my security deposit back
I never forget your birthday
I never read your books
I never think about you
At all, at all, at all

It's #LPPSaturday! Let's celebrate the #Genius of #Prince and #TroyGua 'til the world stops spinning ~ Inspiration: Controversy Tour • Do you love #LPP? Prove it! Join the club! Help power the project (and get BEHIND THE SCENES access and COOL STUFF) by joining #ClubLPP patreon.com/clublpp • This is a shot I did for 'LPP: Volume One' in 2016. It's technically an #LPPClassic, but it was never posted online, until now. 😊 • From Wikipedia: The Controversy Tour marked the debut of Mark Brown, a.k.a. Brown Mark, on bass guitar, replacing the departed André Cymone, and the introduction of Prince's new bodyguard, Chick Huntsberry. At first, Prince contemplated dismissing the huge Huntsberry after only being on tour with him for a few days, as Prince thought he was too big and he scared him. Guitarist Dez Dickerson talked him out of it and he eventually became a confidant to Prince and later appeared in Purple Rain as a bouncer. This tour was also notable for Prince's new side group The Time joining him on tour and the resulting backstage drama and arising tension that developed between the two bands. • From Newsweek in December 1981, 'The naughty Prince of Rock', by Jim Miller: 'On stage he's a punk scarecrow bringing the passion of soul to rock and roll burlesque. In the studio, he's a self-taught prodigy, composing, arranging and producing a mongrel mix of creamy ballads and brittle funk, blazing rock played with rude-boy spunk. He's a prophet of sexual anarchy.' • From Los Angeles Herald Examiner's Steve Piesa in February 1982: 'Prince understands the danger he faces of being typecast as a "sex" singer, and although he still performs suggestive material from Dirty Mind and now offers 'Do Me Baby' from the current Controversy, and although he still swivels his hips and does the ultimate guitar-as-phallic-symbol routine, he does not depend on those things. His message is far more profound than the often sexist crudity of most current pop.' • #Prince4ever #LePetitPrince #LPPisART #TroyGuaArt #Surrealism #Photography #Sculpture #PopArt #ArtImitatingLifeImitatingArt 💜 https://troygua.com/le-petit-prince #repost from @troygua https://www.instagram.com/p/B84GmePlFh1/?igshid=1q832dk9gqwce
Best of 2019 Countdown #8 :: George Blagden and Laura Pitt-Pulford tied the knot in a wedding as gloriously aglow as the couple themselves. [ 9 | 10 | 11 | 12 | 13 | 14 | 15 ]
Three years after first working together in the play Platinum, George Blagden and Laura Pitt-Pulford were married on September 29, 2019, in an absolutely lovely ceremony and setting in Kent, joined by several friends for a party that went well into the night. From George’s cameo cutout appearance at LPP’s hen party to their gorgeous punchdrunk faces the morning after, this was one beautiful celebration for two beautiful people.
