I Forget Where We Were, Ben Howard (2014) 🤔🏖️🌀🫀 Hello love, my invincible friend Oh, hello love, the thistle and the burr Oh, hello love, for you I have so many words But I, I forget where we were
Oh hey, I wasn't listening (The end of the after) I was stung by all of us (The weight of a war) The blind leading out the bored (The kindness gone to bed) And as per usual (The threat of your laughter) You were skipping and laughing (Alive after all) Eyes at the bedroom door (Did he hear, did he hear) "Don't take it so seriously, no (The fumbled words you said?) Only time is ours, the rest we'll just wait and see! - in conversation with End of the Affair -
♡ and the warmth rang true inside these bones ♡
Update on the dresser saga too. Here's the before and after.
I harbour some reservations about painting pine furniture. In this case the pine is old - it's a fairly modern piece made from reclaimed timber - and I was reluctant to cover it up.
This really hadn't fared well though. Our awful removers two years ago had a leaky lorry and there were water stains all over it that I couldn't hide no matter how I tried.
I think this refresh gives it a new lease of life. I have to say I'm pretty happy about how it turned out.
