Song Of The Day #19
March 18, 2019: Linkin Park- Rhinocerous
Yay!! #johnnycupcakes #linkinpark #lpu14
LPU14
Aubrey One (2009 Demo): eerie beginning almost ear piercing. ooo! after a minute, the guitars come in. its really not much i can say already. this is reall- ok guitars got better. very post MTM. the end of it reminds me of the beginning of The Radiance. i sorta heard a chester vibe there too.
Malathion+Tritonus (2008 Berlin Demo): a piano plays and its nothing ive heard. guitar comes in, sorta reminds me of KTTK. im liking this beat. woah! its like there are marching towards a battle. now i can see why its a Berlin demo. strong strikes on the snare drum. im getting a destructive vibe. one part reminded me of MTG and Madison. dont take my word for it. its slows down in the end. possibly where things are about to get aggressive. and i was right. Rob's banging on the drums violently. abruptly ends.
Berlin One, Version C (2009 Demo): scratches and piano. its good to hear Joe's scratching again. an beat comes along and it reminds my of Reanimation's My December. yep. definitely. the piano reminds me of something else but i cant think of it atm. the last few secs almost reminded me of numb. look at me comparing these demos from an entirely different era. on to the next one.
Blanka (2008 Demo): Aggressiveness alert. like a combo of wastelands and KTTK. i can see post MTM written all over this. i may be wrong cuz i suck at describing things with words. that bridge feels similar to Given up.
Heartburn (2007 Demo): this one sounds like a toy instrument was used. then added soft guitars and a beat from bashing on kitchen pots (like Tools Of The Trade). almost acoustic but not because thats not an acoustic guitar they're using. too bad this was a minute and 46 secs long.
Breaking The Habit (Original Mike 2002 Demo): b4 i play this, i predict this will be a lot rawer than the demo from LPU9. ill try to think of the history behind this one while im at it. *plays the song* it sounds just like Breaking The Habit but... MIKE IS SINGING THE VERSES. HOLY! the lyrics are different but his singing is awful XD especially in the chorus. the second verse's 1st sentence is the same as the album's 1st verse. i understand he's just filling the blanks in this. the half the bridge is different. ew that end really need work. next one!
Dave Sbeat feat. Joe (2009): this ones 42 seconds. R2D2. i can see you? what are these lyrics? XD im a robot bot bot bot bot bot. this is a cookie song. could it be Joe singing (with auto tune)? 0.o
Froctagon (2009 Demo): this is a War demo. i just can tell. o wait nevermind. bass was used in the "verses" the chorus was picking up speed and then its back to the bass. Lollipop. pre-ATS huh? i can see some influence on some songs from that album but im not gonna name them. the end part is fast.
Rhinocerous (2002 Demo): ok this is like By Myself 2.0. with a verse like Forgotten. there's some electric notes there. and its back to the guitar part. i didn't hear it clearly the 1st time when i saw the LPU14 video. i can not help that is basically By Myself 2.0. think of the history, think of the history.
After Canada (2005 Demo): ooo! i like this one already. a subtle piano and the usual guitAR riff. its almost like Pushing Me Away got a big upgrade (but not necessarily). i like this one for the winter. oh no wonder *looks at the title name* i dont have much to say on this one either :( it just repeats itself .
and its over.
now time to read LPA threads :D
