I initially had an incredibly rough start, but my computer had a soft restart and lost my original (unsaved) file.  I’m glad for it! - the study was easier the second time around.

A quick redraw of a piece from five years ago to relieve some stress!  I've been working on a different art project, and I somehow figured that the best relief from drawing was to make another drawing.  It sort of worked!

It's been so long since I've finished a personal piece!  I wanted to break in a little bit of practice before I took on anything too challenging, and this was the result.  

Something that I've noticed about my own art is that I often neglect darker skin tones.  I also wanted to break that trend; it's something that I'll keep in mind going forward.

Hi there!  

I'm a college-aged digital artist who - for some strange reason - loves to draw with Microsoft Paint.  I've been doodling for as long as I've been able to hold a crayon, and dabbling in digital art at least since elementary school.  This MS-Paint-obsessed artist would also like to draw your character, beau, or OC.

I'm currently enrolled in a 4-week program that's halfway done, so I haven't had time to take on large projects like animation or full-bodied drawings.  It's for this reason that I'm tentatively limiting this to about 5 slots.

Payment via Paypal upfront -This is for 1. My safety and patience and 2. your safety and patience.  That being said, I can send a preliminary, super basic sketch in advance to make sure the composition fits your vision.

The process:

Send a picture of your OC (or a photograph)and/or a description of what you'd like your commission to look like.

I send a preliminary sketch and get confirmation.

Payment.

Commission is drawn and sent to you in your desired format.

Getting back into the swing of things!   This is also available on Redbubble! 

For the last four weeks, I have had the opportunity to participate in a pretty unique program.  For brevity's sake, I won't stretch out the details here.  Just know that it was a time of testing, stretching, and constant, desperate prayer - and yet also a time of incredible rest and restoration.  I hesitantly took a break from work and large commissions just to participate in it, and the experience far, far surpassed expectations.  It was a much needed reprieve from daily life, and I thank God for the experience.

Journaling and life aside, I mention all of this to say that this drawing was a kick back into regularity.  This was also one of those rare occasions where I actually filmed (most) of the process, so I might upload a speedpaint(?) eventually.

LoFi Commission.  2019.

Long time no see!  I've neglected this blog for a little too long.  I put some of my personal projects on hold so that I could work on this simple animation.  It's not the most complicated project (nor is it entirely seamless), but I did learn a great deal about animation, patience, and learning how to forgive myself for mistakes while finishing this.  Also, the client was a great joy to work with!

Hey!  Long time no see!

I made a super simple, super brief coloring book, now available on Gumroad.  (I only slightly missed black history month!)  It consists of 5 lined versions of some of my previous pieces.  

I genuinely dislike regurgitating the same things over and over again, but with one class down and some exams behind me, I'm hoping to be able to share art a bit more actively in the near future!  

I have also been more quiet because my laptop has being having some some technical difficulties - at some point, it was typing nonsense whenever I hit a single button.  While typing and using it is now mostly possible, I have to copy and paste most of my h's, y's, and apostrophes.  Oh - and backspace no longer works. 😅

Commissions!

Hey, guys!  It has been a little while since I’ve announced commissions of any kind.  

Some background:  My name’s Loren!  I’m a college-aged digital artist living in North Carolina.  For some reason, I’m especially fond of Microsoft Paint. 

I’ll cut it short:  American colleges aren’t known for being cheap.  Between textbooks, the cost of commuting, and other necessities, living through university can be slightly tight, to say the least.  On top of this, there’s a week-long trip that I hope to be making later during the summer, and I’m just looking for other ways to put together some loose change for that adventure.
