hojin stood awkwardly to the side, watching as kids interacted with their parents. it was like a hit in the chest and a reminder of how much of a terrible father he was for abandoning his son. ever since he was told about yubin’s engagement, he realized how much he was missing and wanted to be there more for him despite how busy being a scientist made him. after he had received the email about the family weekend, he felt like he had to surprise his son. he wanted to ask where he could find him, but didn’t know how. 

“oh, i’m sorry, what... what were you saying?” he asked when he realized someone was talking to him.

“how acceptable is it that i’m only here for the food since my family definitely isn’t coming?”

rin sat on a bench near the courtyard, legs criss-crossed and sketchbook rested on them. there was a pencil in her hand and one headphone in her ear with music playing. she was practicing to draw people, finding the weekend a perfect opportunity to draw different types of figures. her parents couldn’t come, so she sat there alone, not realizing that someone had approached her until she looked up once again to capture more details. “oh... hi.”

“They should’ve placed a rule that you actually have to like your family member that goes here to come,” George commented making Alexia rolled her eyes. “No one told you to be a mami’s boy,” she muttered before she looked at the first person before her brother could say another thing else, “oh, hey!”

“I know this is supposed to be very endearing but it’s also very sad for the ones without family to rely on, have no contact with or they’re not alive anymore.”

Venus only been hearing complaints from her family as she showed them around to the point she left them in the courtyard and slipped away from the three of them as her anxiety was getting the best of her. Hearing footsteps, she looked at whoever it is. “Can you tell me if there’s anyone looking this way?” She asked, pointing toward the corner.

“oohh, this party’s lit already!” minho’s dad spoke, looking around the obviously calm place that the parents were in, being the only excited one of the bunch. minho stood beside him, embarrassedly hiding behind his hand. “daaad, don’t say lit.” he whined.

LRSOA FAMILY WEEKEND | ALONG WITH THE END OF YEAR BBQ/BONFIRE ON SUNDAY, JULY 11TH 

What: A time for the Parents and family of students to visit When: Friday, June 9th- Sunday, June 11th Where: Anywhere on Campus

👪  This event starts at 12:00 PM PST (Noon) Friday, June 9th and will last until 11:59pm EST Sunday, June 11th. Then after the students will be released for summer break that following Monday!   👪 It will be a closed dash, event so please refrain from your regular replies until the event is over! 👪 To participate in this event, all you have to do is make a starter involving a sibling, one or both of your muses parents. The idea is to have them interact with their child and the others around campus.  

👪 Since we would like to avoid confusion, a particular fc can only be used for ONE PARENT (IE if one character is using Daniel Craig as their father, no other character can use him). To avoid confusion upon the start of the event, starting now until the event everyone is required to make a post declaring which FCs they intend to use for their parents. It’ll be on a first come first serve basis so everyone tag their family posts lrsoafam and please everybody check this tag before making their own posts. If any of us admins notice doubles the second person to have posted will receive a message informing them that they need to unfortunately find someone else. { Though, please note that we had an event exactly like this before, so if a member that was here during the event previously had already put a particular fc as their parent(s)/sibling(s), it will remain their parent (if they wish) so the first come, first serve basis won’t apply to them }   👪 Please remember to respond to others starters as well as making your own. I understand that everyone wants to use their parent to interact, and this will be a high starter volume sort of event, but please do not just make your starter and wait for everyone to reply to it. You may make your starter with your parent and reply to others with your character (Or even your parent/family member if you wish). I just don’t want to see a lot of starters and no one replying to anyone!
