Preference #19 - Just a Bruise
Anon: I’m the anon who requested ‘just a bruise’ and it was so good to read it! Ahh, thank you so much for writing it!! Can you do something similar with the other boys please? If it isn’t too much to ask? (:
Anon: Could you make the “calum it’s just a bruise” imagine into a preference??
Wow I’m so sorry this took me ages to get to, but here it is finally! A little different from the Cal imagine but the same general idea :)
Here’s a link to the Just a Bruise Calum imagine
You sigh loudly in angry frustration and slam the bottle of foundation down on the counter, causing other items on the bathroom counter to clatter to the floor and increasing your dismay. You press a finger gingerly to the hickey on your neck and hear Ashton enter the bathroom. “What’s going on in here?” he asks as you continue your fruitless attempt to cover the dark purple mark with makeup. “Woah what’s that?” “It’s a hickey, Ashton. And I have to try to cover it up before we go out otherwise everyone’s going to go insane on Twitter,” you tell him through gritted teeth. He cracks a huge grin and starts laughing, earning a glare from you. “Chill, Y/N, I love it,” he says and pokes it lightly with his finger. “Of course you do,” you grumble as he drags you out of the bathroom. “You look great,” he says into your ear. “We’re gonna have to go before I leave another one,” he continues, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine.
You stand up from the dinner table where you’re seated with Luke, Ashton, Calum, Michael, and excuse yourself to the bathroom. You tug your crop top down slightly as you return to your seat next to Luke, who looks like he’s about to punch something. The rest of the guys, on the other hand, are failing to conceal obvious laughter at something. “What?” you say, raising an eyebrow at them. “What are those bruises from?” Michael smirks and you look down at your hipbones with a panicked expression. The splotchy marks had darkened from nearly invisible to a deep purple color within your time spent at the restaurant, and you felt your cheeks heat up to match Luke’s. “Didn’t know you had it in you Lucas,” Calum nods with a grin at Luke. “Shut up,” Luke replies as you bury your head in your hands at the table. “I’m surprised Y/N had it in her,” Ashton adds, fueling the other two boys’ laughter. “Okay, we’re leaving,” Luke announces, pulling you by your hand and out of the restaurant. “Luke, really it’s fine, they were just joking around,” you say. “I don’t care, I feel terrible leaving marks on you,” he tightens his hold around your hand. “Sorry,” he apologizes and loosens his grip. “Stop apologizing,” you say. “I like it when you leave marks,” you grin at him and he can’t help but grin back.
You roll your eyes at the mentions flooding your Twitter timeline just as you’d woken up, full of pictures zoomed in on your thighs from yours and Michael’s trip to the beach the day before and comments about the purple bruises on them. "@Y/TN are these marks from what I think they’re from?" a particular tweet read. You smirk to yourself before replying, "Probably ;)". You get out of bed and head downstairs to go make breakfast. A few minutes later, Michael comes down the stairs, phone in hand. “Y/N, why would you reply to that girl’s tweet? Do you know how much shit you’re gonna get?” he says, frustrated. “Yeah, I do. You know I don’t care about that Michael,” you raise an eyebrow at him. “What’s this really about?” you ask. “I know you don’t really care, but you know how much I hate leaving bruises on you,” he says, folding you into his chest. “It makes me feel bad, like I hurt you, and now everyone else thinks —” you cut him off with a peck to the lips. “Michael, it’s seriously okay. It’s perfectly okay. They’re just bruises,” you reassure him and lean your head into his chest again.
