“It’s a horse,” Seymour corrected.

“Oh, how beautiful,” Audrey cooed. Its head rested heavy on her shoulder; when she raised a hand to its formidable snout, its twitching nose was like velvet underneath. “I’ve always dreamed of having a horse just like you, you know. You’re like a gallant steed fit for a knight in shining armor.”

Mushnik’s voice was fraught with frustration. “Is no one going to question why this poor animal has tattoos all over it?”

The horse looked up and snorted derisively.
