SOOOO I heard the Zeldas exist in the Men in Green AU? 👀 We have info on Sun, Flora, Tetra, and Dusk— and a bit on Fable.

If you think it’d be fun and are ready to share, I’d love to hear what you have for the others — Lullaby, Artemis, Dot, and Aurora and/or Dawn!

Do Lullaby and Time have history? Does Artemis know what a vampire is? Does Dot have family ties to supernatural agencies, like Four? Does Hyrule even know his Zelda(s)?

I have ideas for quite a few of them but they aren’t all fleshed out sadly but here’s what I got so far

Lullaby- goes by age 32

Is the eldest sister of Artemis and Flora. She isn’t very close with them due to the very large age difference.

She were once on a Time and Ganon while working for the family business ( Knights ). But during the battle against Major she was critically injured and fell into a coma.

After she woke up her whole life was thrown out of whack. Her team had been disbanded and she was no longer allowed to do field work.

That doesn’t stop her tho , she goes out anyways under the name Sheik to do the things she’s good at , she hasn’t been caught yet. It probably helps that most people assume she’s a man while as Sheik. Which she doesn’t mind at all

Dawn age 11

Dawn is part of a coven of witches deep in the mountains. Her mother is the head witch and one day she’ll be the head witch too. So she works really hard at her studies. Her and Hyrule are - were best friends.

Since Hyrule was taken she’s been working really hard at her studies hoping to make a spell that can bring him back home. But it’s hard to stay hopeful when the grown ups always look so sad when she brings it up. What’s mourning ? She’ll have to look it up later.

Dot age 10

Not got much on Dot , no big lore sadly. But I do know that she is Fours rival at school. Their both little smart ass trouble makes who see each other as competition both in academics and in messing with each other

Artemis age 16

Artemis is the middle child and it shows , all her dad attention either on Flora or work , it leaves Artemis with nothing

So she throws herself into both her education and her social life. She’s the prettiest most likeable little lady in town and for good reason.

And everything was fine until she got a part time job at the fairy fountain cafe and now she has to deal with a winy vampire that’s sadly growing on her

Fable age 17

Fable doesn’t know much if anything about her bio family. All she does know is that her parents were too young when they had her and so she was given up for adoption. But that’s fine because she’s got 3 of the best aunties in the world , Din , Nayru and Farora are the best even if their kinda weird. But In a family was witches everyones a little odd.

She currently learning about magical history and is really looking forward to her summer apprenticeship. It’s for this company called Kights ?? She doesn’t really get what it is , Din got her the job. But that’s ok she’s sure She’ll do fine

i wish more ppl gave more weight to warriors and artemis' relationship bc wars has an extremly high romance/affection rating towards his zelda canonically. (four out of five hearts, second only to sky!!!) and even if you're not into romantic zelink for hw, theyre still extremely important to each other as characters. they are literally bound together by fate and this is a central theme in the hw story--there is a whole villain that is jealous of their close relationship. there's a lot of their character writing that depend on each other, and i think its something you can't overlook when it comes to discussing either of them and i mentioned wars' affection rating for artemis and we can go into that for sure: with how he runs out into the battlefield without a second thought to join her, or how he accepts the hero's tunic once the princess disappears because he wants to help find her, even if he feels unworthy of it, but i think more ppl should also discuss how much zelda cares for link in hw!! like. she is lowkey head over heels for him, and a major reason for link's ego. she finds interest in him even before he reveals himself as the hero. when Impa expresses concern over if Link can hold the master sword, it's Zelda who wholeheartedly says she believes in Link and his courage. She says over and over again, she believes in him. I think how Zelda's faith in Link affects his ego can be its whole own discussion that probably deserves its own post but like. This person who is terrifying on the battlefield and able to kick ass not only as herself but also as Sheik and is active on the frontlines, becomes so soft and kind whenever she's speaking to or about Link. also is there anything more chivalrous and romantic than a story about a princess and her knight tied together by fate like. if you like sksw zelink of botw zelink i think there is sauce to be found in hw zelink. but i digress.

Lu headcanons ft the Zelda’s

Twi and post Totk Flora both have claws, Twi’s being a lot less noticeable than Floras

Legend and Wild both have shit eyesight, would most likely have glasses if they were in modern times

the first day Flora met the chain, she filled about 2 notebooks with just info and stories from the heroes adventures

Legend, Twi and Wind all very vividly remember a musical made about the hero of time, and before learning about the split had argued about how the play ended for hours (turns out Twi’s version was the most inaccurate because nobody in his timeline even knows about the hero of time, so much of the play is just rumour)

Fable and Sun have an amazing relationship, they’re actually really close

Flora is such a bad archer, she literally refuses to use the bow of light without some sort of other power keeping her arrows in check (partly canon to BotW)

Unlike Time, Lullaby isn’t seen as the mom figure of the group, Dusk is

Fable and Wild recognized and greeted eachother when the Zelda’s met the chain, because they remembered eachother from their time in super smash bros (Lullaby, Wind and Time were also in on this, but didn’t say anything)

on the same wavelength, Sky and Wild also knew eachother from MK

Wars and Flora get along surprisingly well (Wild is absolutely fucked)

Twi is allergic to a lot of flowers in the era of the Wild

Post Totk Flora has a lot of grey hair at her roots, but usually is able to use recall to keep it hidden

Hyrule has a rly low body heat, so his hands are usually freezing cold

Dawn is the shortest of the Zelda’s, with Tetra being the next shortest

Time actually really enjoys Suns company, even if his pre-conceived image of Hylia was not too good

Dot will sometimes help Wild prepare dinner for the chain

Four and Artemis work together really well

Whole Scene is Basically the brief flashback we get from the chain’s perspective of Artemis’s horrible no good very bad life when she talks to the suitors in the garden

I wanted her expression to show the resignation of her accepting she’s going to get used to get what someone else wants but she’s not putting up with this shit without using them back

I LOVE the way her and wars are so similar in accepting that they are their own bargaining chip to get what they want for other people (wars gave up hebra to be a hero and artemis gave up the only decision she got to make about who to spend the rest of her life with for maya and wars) THEY MAKE ME SO INSANE

I just REALLY wanted to emphasize how tired Artemis is specifically

original sketch had some asshole who’s name we never get in the foreground blurred to shit (i think her expression perfectly captures the annoyance of being talked At rather than talked To)

BUT THEN i had the amazing idea after reading the gut wrenching sequence of the last final chapters where wars last bit of awareness was asking impa to see Artemis’s grave

I was originally going to do a mini comic strip of the amount of plot points that take place with impa watering the plants and a focus on the garden (strawberry wine sessions, wars being high as shit being the only way to express his feelings to Impa or Artemis, archery, maya's training, aftermath of the price consort death ect.) BUT THERE’S TOO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM so congratulations you get angst

i had a LOT of fun playing with the saturation on this one

her armor is always fun to draw but i probably would have rendered the designs a bit better to have the curling imprints be more distinct if i had time

The real ones know I’m lazy and reused the frame for both of them (from my first steel fanart about wars rejecting mossi) but don’t fix what ani’t broken okay

Lowkey had a bit of trouble deciding who’s frame should be silver vs gold

how the hell do you chose a sun and moon dynamic between these two?? She’s literally named after the archer moon goddess but she has holy hylia divine sun powers

and wars is shine bright enough that they can’t see past the glare but moon that only ever orbits around others, only shining with the light he gets from the sun only sees his worth as a hero from complimenting artemis or other people he thinks are more capable DO U SEE MY DILEMMA

• I kinda wanted to turn both of their hands a bit so u could see the triforce symbol?? (Also a reference to previous art from linktober) but i suck at anatomy so what you see is what u get

• (if i hadn’t been a coward Artemis’s hand would have glowed extremely brightly compared to wars which might have had a smidge of ghost blue broken triforce of courage symbol if he was lucky)

Is she staring in disappointment at the one thing she sacrificed her happiness for meaning nothing?? Who can say :)))

Yes his hands haven’t healed from having the cuffs on too tight how could you tell <3 (was originally gonna have the cuffs be looser around his wrists but refer to previous point: anatomy and me don’t get along)

Was i originally going to draw 9 links in the chain? (hypothetically if u count the First Hero, Spirit tracks link, EOC link and AOC link its enough XD)

but No it looked weird in the frame even when i tried to cover it with flowers (NEVER drawing those again)
