Guess who just remembered that she has princes and princesses to sort/re-sort out? If Mei, Qing, and WEI YANWAN are not going to be entering the rear palace as concubines, then Mei's prince (unnamed and untitled, though will be receiving his initial name of Yongxi in the fic), and all of Wei Yanwan's children need to be re-assigned to different birth mothers. Potentially also Jia's children because the woman causes way too many problems on purpose.

Also, I'm not giving them all to Qingying (she will not be renamed Ruyi), so don't even suggest that! You can suggest alternate birth mothers if you wish though, so have at it!

Still don't know what to do with Muping/Qing. She is exceptionally talented at sucking up and little else. I don't want her in the imperial harem and the more I think about it my initial spy in the Grand Princess' household to aid her won't work because she's barely clever enough to preserve herself.

Any suggestions?

I know this is going to sound mean, but what does Lu Muping (Qing Pin) do successfully? Like. What talents or skills does she possess?

Mei Pin/Bai Ruiji and Gao played the pipa. Yihuan (Shu Fei) was well read and wrote and sang poetry. Hailan embroidered, Wanyin painted, Jia danced, and even Yanwan learned kun opera. Even if it's looked down on, she did learn a new set of skills.

So, what does Muping even do? Other than the emperor, obviously. Because if she did something, I sure missed it.
