Her love language is gift giving and it’s painfully obvious. She started off giving you simple but meaningful gifts, and eventually started buying you every ridiculously expensive thing that reminded her of you. She always wears a beaming smile whenever she hands you a gift, excited flush decorating her plush cheeks. She insists that it’s nothing, but she purposely buys you things she knows are insane so she can get the same flustered reaction out of you.

You two became friends in your first year at UA, though you grew closer with struggle. You thought she was too posh, she thought you were too rough around the edges. It took months of growth and experience together for the two of you to see that there was something beautiful to be understood between you. She taught you to be gentle. To act with tenderness and care. You taught her to value herself. To be assertive and impactful. You both understood what it meant to be compassionate, and her feelings bloomed from that very harmony. She admired you more than she could put into words—the way you could balance humility and dignity ignited a fire inside of her chest that she just couldn’t quell.

In the beginning, her feelings for you scared her. She tried everything to convince herself she simply admired to you as a friend. That she envied your herculean yet feminine strength. After the war, something changed in her. She realized the importance of seizing every moment—and she wanted to seize every moment spent with you. Every comfortable silence, every coy glance, every intellectually stimulating conversation. Everything about being with you excited her, and it morphed her dread into craving.

She notices everything and pretends not to. The way you avoid touch with everyone except for her, even seeking it out despite your darting eyes. The way you awkwardly place your hands on her shoulders after a hard day and tenderly attempt to press her tension away. The way you finally let your tight muscles ease when the two of you are alone, collapsing into her gentle embrace. She absolutely notices how different you are with her and it makes her heart burst into a rapid flutter when she thinks about it.

She genuinely loathes when a situation implies that she may be straight around you. A man flirts with her? She will shut him down promptly and harshly (and will make sure you see how cruel she’s being). The girls engage in boytalk? She has to use the bathroom. Valentine’s day? Her worst nightmare. She knows she’s visibly lacking a “queer look” and she doesn’t want to change that—she trusts that you’ll notice the way her eyes linger for seconds too long over your figure, as well as how dismissive she is towards any men around her.

She is shameless when it comes to your figure and muscles. She will stare and she doesn’t even try to hide it, it’s as if she’s memorizing every curve and freckle on your body. If you have a darker skin tone, she’ll wait until the setting sun’s warm glow illuminates the deep tones of your skin with stars in her eyes. She doesn’t hold back on compliments, purposely trying to fluster you to see how hot your face gets. But if you even try to slide her a flirty compliment, she will immediately and profusely refuse, melting into a puddle of nerves. The mere idea of you flirting with her still sends a hot rush of blood to her face, despite how often you do it. The way your signature smirk tugs at the corners of your lips as your eyelids hang low—she can’t even look at you.

Everyone in the class can tell you two have something going on, and they’re patiently waiting for you two to realize and just start going out. Your biggest supporters are Jirou and Iida. They both give each other ‘The Look’ every time Yaoyorozu laughs too hard at a stupid joke you crack, or when you use any excuse to have a hand laid gently on her. One evening, Kirishima and Bakugou caught you both sleeping on each other on the common room’s couch after hero training. The way you, the most guarded girl in the class, curled your legs into her lap with your face buried in her chest—they knew something was up.

Yaoyorozu is extremely intelligent and she knows it. No one has ever held back from affirming her intellect, and despite her lingering confidence issues, she knows she can rely on her cognition. Her intelligence isn’t just for studies or quick thinking, it also allows her to recognize patterns in social interactions and understand how people work. However, when she met you, all of her preconceived notions of human nature shattered. You were a smart cookie and a complicated puzzle. The way you acted rough yet compassionate, quiet yet bold, humorous yet sullen. The way you flaunted your subtle femininity and felt powerful in it. The way you pretended to be ordinary, yet your eyes told a completely different story. It was all novel to her, as if she was reading a book from a genre she’d never even touched. And that excited her the most—the fact that she couldn’t figure you out immediately.

If you hug her she may short circuit for a moment out of complete joy and panic before hugging you back gently

She is not super strong like some other heroes but she does work out and she never wants to press even slightly too hard when she reaches for you

Queen of respecting your space, she strictly adheres to your boundaries and won’t even ask if they’ve changed when you both get closer. So if you start out not wanting skinship as that is something you reserve for people you’re really close with you will need to be the one to bring it up if you change your mind.

Todoroki is sitting on her bed absolutely clueless as he listens to her babble excitedly to Tsu, Ochako, Jiro, and Hitoshi. Surprisingly other than his small mumbled words of surprise at relationship things in general makes good points for her and the others by just using logic and his level-headed reasoning. 

He is also your biggest supporter of you two getting together because he sees how happy you make her and that alone makes him smile and tell you you have his full support…to what you didn’t know and Momo was too embarrassed and stunned to explain when he just walked off afterward

She can make anything with her body so long as she knows the molecular compound, or buy anything for you with her money. But she is too romantic for that, she insists on learning how to handcraft something for you

She moves slowly and lets you realize on your own through the small touches here, words of affirmation, handwritten letters, and small handcrafted gifts (even with bandaged fingers from failing at first to craft them properly) that she likes you

If you ask she will blush and stammer but tell you if you want to know then why don’t you go to the park with her that weekend and she’d answer you then

Like I said she is a romantic, It is clearly a date and she dresses up so beautifully and sets up a wonderful picnic on the grass by the stream

When you get there she’d finally confess unable to look you in the eyes as she plays with her fingers but admits she has liked you for a long time and asks if it’d be okay for her to act on those feelings today
