This painting was done by a female painter, Artemisia Gentileschi. When male western painters drew around the theme of Judith, they delegate the maid as a bystander because their focus was placed on the beautiful Judith. But Artemisia Gentileschi was different. In her painting, the women worked together to fight against a perpetrator. In her eyes, women can understand each other, women can protect each other. The Judith painted by Gentileschi is more powerful, there is no hesitation or fear, she infused her painting with her pain and sympathy, she shared the same soul as the Judith she depicted.

"Little Mermaid" in Asia & my favourite mangaka - Rumiko Takahashi🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️

Mermaids in Asian cultures are never "pretty" and "nice" as they are in Anderson's fairytales.

Ningyo (human-fish) is believed to bring storms and misfortune. On the other hand, there are some legend about eating Ningyo can bring longevity. The mermaid mummies were made as a scam by combining monkey and fish.

Rumiko Takahashi was inspired by these legend to create her awarded series - Mermaid Saga.

Mermaid also being some elements of Kyoukai no Rinne in some funny chapters!

Lu-Ting is human-fish in Hong Kong's folktale....Well...It's actually the opposite of what Little Mermaid is (They have a fish head and human legs...)

Awarded Hong Kong director - Fruit Chan was inspired to create "Three Husbands" (三夫）as a modern Mermaid in his "prostitution trilogy". (So there are many sex scenes you can imagine)

"Little Mermaid" by danish writer Anderson is only one form of mermaid and one of the mermaid stories across the world. Why not be open-minded about that?

#2, 公主披风 (Princess Cloak) by SNH48

To be honest, this is probably my top A-side...even more than Oogoe Diamond but I wanted an MV category and there were too many A-sides that I loved that I was kind of “meh” on the MV so I had to stick this in the MV category. Don’t get me wrong though, I ADORE this MV. It and the song made me an SNH48 fan and can I just say Ju Jingyi is GORGEOUS here.
