modern au halloween costumes (part one, possibly) urbosa, wild, flora, sidon and mipha as teen titans!
Hang on. Ran out of letter. Follow up from never been in a helicopter crash anon (I hope your other anons haven't either tbh) - I just realised your wording on Sky. The getting shot down is /before/ he got transferred as it says the unspecified times were after. Which. Time and Warriors are /not/ going to have had a good day hearing about that. Whether he tells them later, or they heard because he was supposed to be bringing them a patient when it happened. Oh dear... I want to hug everyone.
Sky gritted his teeth as they flew. This area was under particularly heavy fire. Their mission report had indicated the coordinates were in the middle of a hot zone and soldiers were desperately trying to get the situation under control so they could get in, get the patients, and get out.
Command had advised they wait, but Sky knew that usually meant at least one soldier would be dead by the time they got the all clear signal to even take off. He didn't necessarily disobey orders, he just... took them into consideration.
Sun and Groose didn't argue the point.
"The rendezvous point is ten miles ahead," Sun noted as she grabbed the radio to start communicating with the ground forces.
Sky adjusted the collective, lowering the lever to his left a little so the helicopter started to descend as they made their approach. They'd be there in a few minutes.
"Command says the LZ is clear," Sun advised.
Sky smiled. "Good. I figured they'd get it under control by the time we got here."
Groose laughed from behind them. "They'd better! It's only been twenty minutes since they first called in for evac!"
The helicopter started to descend, and Groose told their medic team to prepare for landing.
And then the helicopter lurched, sending Sky and Sun into their harnesses and knocking the wind out of them. Sky immediately felt the helicopter start swerving as if torque were twirling it like a spinning top. He tried to adjust with the foot pedals, telling the chopper to adjust its tail rotor to compensate.
The helicopter barely responded.
"What the hell was that?!" Groose yelled from the back.
Sun was frantically looking at the consoles as they alarmed. "Sky, the tail rotor got damaged! We've been hit!"
Sky felt the bottom drop out of his stomach. "Strap in! Now!"
Absolutely bonkers idea: even most of the animals in Gerudo Town are female but Shade gets a pass even when Wild doesn’t cause Urbosa just gets the feeling that he should be able to pass in freely (Time was straight up adopted into the Gerudo)
Wolfie also has a similar pass since I definitely saw reference to Gerudo!Twi in Zvevda (?)
~🌙
Yeah, Urbosa probably knows exactly who they are because of the history books, and she totally let them in and the Gerudo people just treat them with utmost respect :)
these are kinda obvious choices, but mipha and hyrule bonding over being healers and how stupid injured team members can sometimes be? and also i NEED wind and urbosa interaction
oh totally, Mipha and Hyrule bond because of their similar personalities, because I'm absolutely positive that if provoked, Mipha has some sass being held back by her princessy exterior.
Also Urbosa sees a group of short stressed blonde gremlins and claims them as her own, she's already done it twice, what's eight more times. But yeah, she would definitely vibe with Wind a lot. What can she say, she was descended from a tribe of thieves of course she would love a little pirate.
My favorite LU side characters in order:
Linkle(I’m biased), Malon (10/10 best person), Mipha(Still Biased), Ravio (We can just assumed I’m still biased), Maron (Biased), Skull Kids (no longer biased. These guys are just great), the Frog, Sun, Urbosa, Epona 2, Flora, Nabooru, Lullaby, Fairies, The Owl that is Kaepora Gaebora, Groose, Revali, Random Minish, Epona 1, Daruk, Random Dog, Random Healer townsfolk, randoms townsfolk without dialog, random townsfolk with dialog, Octorock, Linebeck, Postman…I guess, Ganondorf, Radom knights in flashback, Yiga Foot Soldiers, Egg Robot from HW:AoC, and Tingle. Did I do all of this to roast Tingle? Maybe. Or maybe I wanted to raise up Linkle as the best. You’ll never know. I left out anyone who was mentioned in the comic, but yet to be drawn.
im going quite insane. bonkers even. loosing my marbles quite much. blimey. dear lord in heaven.
Wait, you said that shade was probably Urbosa’s great great something grandfather. If that’s true, then wouldn’t that mean wars ans Sablya got back together and had another child? And he or she became the heir to the gerudo throne? That would mean that wild is like, Urbosa’s uncle or something ( I don’t know how genetics works)
Yes, but no
See, Shade and Twilight are both ancestors of the Gerudo royal family (Twi being the only male part-Gerudo in his time and all) but Twilight has many daughters. So while yes, in TTTB, one of them did marry Hyrule's kid and have Sablya, there are several others who went on to go and have their own families. His eldest daughter probably became the chief after him, so Urbosa would be descended from her, not Warriors and Sablya.
(Although the idea of Warriors finding out he's the father to the next line of Gerudo rulers would have been HILARIOUS!)
So, I guess Urbosa would be more like Wild's cousin?
What does shade think of the champions? And what do the champions think of shade?
Shade has quite a wide variety of opinions about the Champions.
He really likes Daruk, who wouldn't? The big guy is friendly and caring and very genuine and encouraging. Wild both loved and felt safe with the Gorons, and while Shade already liked them as people, that just made him like the big Chief even more. His Cub is happy, so he is too. Personally, he didn't care so much for hanging around Daruk, but mostly because he didn't like being petted by a hand that knocked him off his paws by accident more often than not.
He likes Mipha, she was kind to Wild since he came to their time. Shade didn't really support a romance between them, partly because he knew she would die and also for other reasons, but he was glad Wild had a friend and supporter when he needed it. He was extra thankful when he found out about the healing, because good heavens does his Cub need that Personally, he didn't spend time with her, she was a bit wary of him even after Wild assured her he was safe. They do share a Look though whenever Wild does something reckless, so they have a mutual understanding.
With Revali, all Shade can think about at first is how much the bird reminds him of Legend when he's being cocky, or Warriors when he was trying to draw attention and act haughty or something. As he got to know him, he did become a bit frustrated with Revali's attitude, but at the same time, he is reminded of the boys, so... Personally, Revali did not like Shade, he thought it showed a sign of weakness that the hero needed a wolf to trail after him and protect him. This of course meant that Revali did not spend time with Shade, so Shade didn't get much of a better impression of him.
As for Urbosa, Shade really liked Urbosa. She's sort of the only adult who acts like an adult, and she was the one looking out for the younger Champions, as well as Zelda, which he really respected her for. Besides that, she and he had a lot in common: leaders, dry humor, height (when he was hylian) liked messing with their kids, all the fun stuff. They got along well too, not so much in a talking way, but more interaction wise. She respected him and he her, and they were good to just chill together. In a way, he considered her a friend (even though he could have been her great-something-grandfather).
