Peach is definitely the cuddler in her and Mario's relationship; she always hugs him and makes sure he isn't hurt.

I mean, that's canon, no? She's often portrayed as being the one initiating any sort of affectionate contact with him, Mario is either characterized as kind of bashful about it or being completely caught off guard by it. I think the only time I've seen PDA more or less initiated by him is Luigi's Mansion 3.

(Hhgh it's so stinkin' cute dammit. The Mario movie better be at least, AT THE VERY LEAST half as fucking feelsy as this when it comes to them three or I'm going to riot.)

The implication seems to be that it's not that his nature isn't to be affectionate as much as maybe he's simply used to expressing it other ways, and your mileage may vary as to why this is- either because he doesn't want to impose or he's simply not used to the idea that he CAN be like this with a Princess- but he won't hesitate to go for a hug if he really wants one.

HHH I digress. I think Peach in general is characterized as being very affectionate and doting while Mario, albeit devoted, goes about it a different way, so she'd definitely be the cuddler.

@sharksmirk​ honestly the fightning games is such a good example for this too!! i know a few people who would’ve liked to get into that type of games, but learning curve (and especially online community that is much smaller), just doesn’t allows people to even consider playing. mostly casually, if it’s a party game or like all of the playears are just casual crowd

and like, literally same, i think if i ever to choose what type of game i’d pick for myself it would be both action slasher games and fighting games.

i used to like open world games and have a map to collect a bunch of stuff, but i kind either grew out of it or just tired from it.   tlou2 had a semi-open locations and i much much enjoyed that more than any open world game in quite a while.

BUT unfortanetly that’s not how bigger market work, because “shooting” type of the gameplay is preferable or the same shooting in more open world games and else.

it’s like, idk, when comparing even franchises from Capcom, most of the people would be able to complete recent Rsident evil remakes than they would Devil May Cry (which is easier from previous entries IMO and has stuff for both players) and that is why Bayonetta is not that as appealing to more wider audience.

(long-time lurker, first time commenter) As a queer, autistic person, I would've been more open to the idea of safe spaces; if Tumblr's version weren't a bunch of echo chambers with a "one strike and you're out" or "you have to be this queer/oppressed to enter" scale. Having problems already with navigating (polarised) debates online, I fear saying something stupid inadvertently, and then all hell breaking loose for it; not to mention if discussions get heated, it sends me into panic as 1/2

[2/2] the whole "processing emotions" bit goes haywire. I still find it hard to understand nuances in (es. SJ-related) discussions, and that sort of polarisation just sends me off-edge.

I, personally, don’t believe in “safe spaces”, but I do believe in safer spaces. So many people I know have trauma responses that are so unpredictable and unavoidable, it’s impossible to make a space safe enough that they’ll never be upset or feel unsafe.  

What makes spaces safer--I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again--is how the people inside them agree to treat each other. And especially for neurodivergent people, that means giving space for letting people process things and interact on their own terms. To let them stop and think if they’re getting stressed, to let them ask questions and work things out in conversation if they need to.

Of course, that’s work that takes people with the spare time and cope to do so, and on the internet, community moderators are practically never compensated for all the work they do, so they’re in continual short supply. I’ve been in internet spaces where that kind of emotional work happens, but they’re rare, and necessarily small to keep the moderator:commenter ratio low enough. The more things go viral--today’s internet seems to want 100,000 people to see something before considering it worthwhile--the harder it is to keep the comments from turning into a cesspit.

(Heck, even I have my bad days, times when I get short-tempered and bitchy and uncharitable. and have to stay offline until I feel more human again. I yelled at someone last week about costuming and of course various randos following the conversation sent them nasty anon messages, because aaaa Tumblr.)

So yeah. I would love to have more, safer, spaces, but right now I’m limited to what I can do personally.

I just logged in today, and I've just seen your post(s) just now; have you just played Bayonetta?

My brother in law has been lending it to me when he comes over, and I finished it on sunday. It’s oddly relaxing, I’m not sure why. Maybe the amounts of violence I’m allowed to unleash.

Related to Bayo 3, I've heard rumours that the game is going to involve Bayo teaming up with herself because time paradoxes...? Would make the Wittingham Fair thing more sense, since the song itself is a variant of Scarborough Fair, but honestly, I'm taking these with a grain of salt (plus the time-travel thing overdone at this point, tbh).

I agree 100% on the whole time travel thing, like, I’d personally would be totally cool with prequel, regardless of how “pre” it set before Bayonetta’s storyline, but if it’s going to involve time stuff again... Idk that.

Thought I can imagine see two Bayo’s being on the screen that would be badass, but I’d rather see Jeanne and Bayo moments together.

And I had to google Wittingham Fair (and it’s performed by Elfin Knight which was a reference in bloody fate) and listen to it, cause just like with Scarborough Fair, I’m so uninformed on this topic, I do like the lyrics I’m sure with how Bayonetta games handle music it would fit idealy.  But looking at the lyrics itself and not actually hearing folk music it feels like a Balder and Rosa song? Hmmmmm so hard to judge it being a non-english speaker. 

I’m taking all the theories with a bit of carefulness too, cause I still think this all teaser was just meshed up just to confirm bayo3 is real. It’s like that masked lumen demo fight that plays in bayo2 (and was the first thing shown at E3) and it’s not even present in the game gjdfkljgkldf

I think it’s just the absence of info that makes people analyse everything, can’t say I blame them
