Some more AU stuff no one asked for but I'm gonna put out anyways.
To anyone wondering (or not) on where the other species in Destiny stand should the Witness's people still exist in this AU, here is where I have them standing thus far (and for further context of the story's plot on the Traveler, there is this post too):
-The Lubraeans-
They are the first alien species to come into contact with the Witness's people, having met them at a time when the Regime was still in the height of its power on Lubrae and essentially liberating them from the Regime's hold; thus gaining back a sense of individuality away from the likes of one system to create a new culture more based on traditional means. It is because of their aid in this battle for freedom, the Lubraeans now are the most loyal to the Witness's people. So much so that they have the longest alliance on record since.
When one needs the other, both are there for each other.
Further elaboration on this matter can be found here and here
-The Eliksni-
The Eliksni would probably be the second species to form an alliance with the Witness's people. Given the majority of the species still suffers the same fate as it had in canon with the Traveler abandoning them and leaving their world in ruin, it wouldn't be hard for many of them to considering forming such an alliance because the Witness's people sympathize with their plight. They are angry and feel betrayed, much the same as those on Lubrae and themselves. And if given chance to rise up and claim some of their former glory and do more? I think they'd be very willing to form this alliance, especially given these people can aid them in doing so and also provide them a new means of living and prospering just the same.
The Eliksni can be as loyal as the Lubraeans to their allies, jumping to their aid should they need it and vice versa.
-The Cabal and Psions-
The Cabal would not have an alliance with the Witness's people nor with that of anyone else thus far. They are completely to themselves at this point of the story and do not wish to form alliances as they believe they can handle things themselves and do not want to have the potential aid of an alliance soured by the idea of one ruling over the other (as they would feel this is what the Witness's people are essentially doing to the other species). They much prefer their own ways and terms, seeking and pushing forth their path as they see fit.
The Psions are essentially linked with the Cabal and their history of servitude. While chances are at this point, they have gained their freedom (depending on who is still in charge of the Cabal Empire), it may be unlikely that they would be willing to forge an alliance with the Witness's people just the same as they would want to have their own freedom in full without alliances to anyone else. Some do remain very much loyal to the Cabal while others do not, fleeing from their former masters and gaining their freedom elsewhere or joining with the Witness's people.
-The Hive-
The third species to which the Witness's people have come into contact with, but it did not seem to start on friendly terms. Things were constantly on high tensions between the species as their differences in views clashed constantly and put the other in constant danger (as well as other species that were essentially under the People's protection). Small bouts of warning shots were essentially given to keep both at bay of one another, knowing that each is very much capable of destroying each other fully. Such tensions were high for a good couple of centuries until came time that a truce would be made and thus, formed an eventual alliance.
However, said alliance was rather short lived when relations soured, especially after certain events that had led to a full-scale war between the two species; the Witness's people coming out the victor because of their alliances with other species and the weapons they had installed/built over time. This war had nearly driven the Hive into extinction until a second truce was made.
No new alliances have been formed since said truce, but meetings are exchanged between the species every so often to ensure a war of such scale does not happen again.
-The Ahamkara-
This species is also not aligned with the Witness's people as the People would not know of them until probably much later. What they do hear of the Ahamkara are purely based on myths shared around from traveling species they had encountered. The idea to come across these creatures and speak with them, does intrigue them, however. And it has sparked some speculation and thought to seek one should they truly exist.
However, the People do not wish to waste their time and resources on searching for myths even if said legends may be hiding under their noses. Yet, it doesn't mean they aren't curious to know. The Ahamkara remain hidden from sight, watching and waiting.
-The Awoken-
The Awoken do not share an alliance with the Witness's people, but instead choose to remain at their own standing. There is a notable tension between the species but it is kept at bay for a good majority of the story's plot.
-Humans-
Much like the Awoken, humans (and Exos alike) do not have nor share an alliance with the Witness's people mostly now for the sole purpose that the Traveler has recently fled to them and blessed them with its gifts before leaving again. Tensions are high between the species just the same as the Awoken, the ever-looming presence of war lingering about in the air yet neither side has made the attempt to start it.
Efforts have been made to lessen tensions between the species with ambassadors visiting one another to help relieve tensions. Though such efforts still leave things on high ends of worry.
For now, things are at a tense stand still.
Now granted, this isn't a set base for ALL the species. Some of them are not entirely loyal to the Witness's people and have their own factions. Others have formed alliances with other species (like the humans) to form their own little factions as well. This flies especially true for some of the Eliksni and descendants of the Lubraean Regime. Other Eliksni groups have preferred to remain independent and too themselves. The same of some Cabal too. They work for themselves, the Witness's people, or allied themselves with the humans. Even some of the Witness's people have allied with humans, though it is few and vice versa.
They are small in number BUT they do exist.
Other species like the Vex, the Taken and Worms I have yet to really think about them as there is a lot going on for them that need some extra thought put into them. The Vex especially need a lot more thought as they are churning some interesting ideas that make me think otherwise.
Some of this is bound to change over time, but this is more so the general basis of what I have for them so far in the AU. Again, its just an AU and things are bound to change, but the notes help to backtrack and see what's up! c:
Arna and Guey play a game of tag somewhere in the Lubraean forests c:
Still working on those mini doodles until new computer can be obtained
I messed up a bit on this one but at least it still looks passable enough c'x IRL it does look way better. Phone cameras do so little justice and the scanner just destroys the colors overall c'x
Alternate Timeline AU Rhulk in his outfit before the alliance was made and after he officially becomes Lubrae's Warlord once he marries Guaroco
Wanted to show just a few variations of the outfits he wears including a few other details. He is seldom seen without his formal wear in front of strangers, but only in front of Guarcoco (this AU's Witness) is he comfortable to show himself in full. And yes, he lost his leg in the war against the Regimists in this AU
Once he becomes a full Warlord, Rhulk mixes both Precursor and Lubraean attire to show the union of the alliance made when he married his spouse. He is the only Lubraean Warlord to do so
