actually amazing that Claude didn't just kill every girl that was present at Athy's tea party when Athy's mana went beserk or threw them in a dungeon until he had figured out what had happened.
He could have given his guards orders to capture the suspicious young magician who went on vocation without giving notice at a time when his daughter needed him the most. Lucas arrives at the Imperial palace exhausted but happy to see Athy again and instead he's greeted by the Empereror's army pointing their weapons at him and shooting before he can ask a single question. He is being blamed for the assassination attempt on the princess and when she has disappeared from the palace entirely without a trace, he is suspected of kidnapping and murder as well.
Imagine Lucas as a wanted criminal on the run and he and Athy always miss each other by chance before the finally meet again. Until then he has to figure out on his own what had happened. He visits Jennette, demanding an explanation by her, which she refuses to give because she was told not to trust him. They both are wary of one another ("why were you right next to her when the princess had a mana explosion?" vs "why weren't YOU there when you are usually always with her and knew about her condition"?), and they are forced to work together to find the solution.
【 𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐌𝐄 𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒 】 - reversed fates
What if the roles were reversed? Instead of Athy being reincarnated, what if it was Jennette? ... a hypothetical au I've been musing about
Let's imagine: some girl from, I'm gonna say Belgium (just something other than Korea) read Lovely Princess, but died in some tragic accident.
I wouldn't say.. she liked the book. She recognized it was very childish, and most of the characters were quite shallow. She didn't understand how certain characters, like Claude, were paraded as Paragons in the book, when they were clearly bad people.
She didn't have much of an opinion on Jennette; just that everything catered to her. Now.. a character she really genuinely liked, was Athanasia.
Despite being a threat to her position, Athanasia taught Jennette the ways of the Palace, and never tried to harm her, even as her dream of Claude loving her slipped away into Jennette's hands.
So this (for now nameless) girl was shocked and appauled when Athanasia was accused of poisoning Jennette. She couldn't be more angry! The one character who seemed to have some sense of morals (aside from Jennette, generally) was mercilessly killed off in the most gruesome way imagineable.
It's not very clear in the Manhwa what state Jennette was in when she was poisoned (the Manhwa and Novel are DIFFERENT, people). But in my interpretation, Jennette was unconcious dealng with.. y'know, being poisoned. It was too late by the time she woke up.
Our protagonist rage-quits the novel after that, having no desire to read the "happy ending" everyone gets despite her favorite character's demise.
She's ready to move on with her life and forget that awful book, but.. looses her life soon after.
...
Now is the start to my ideas for after she reincarnates. Yay!
...
After reincarnating, it doesn't take her long to realize the perdiciment she's in.
She'd become Jennette, the Female Lead of "Lovely Princess"! Unlike most heroines in her position, her fate seemed to be pretty good. Seemed.
You see, she never finished the novel. She had no idea what happened after Athanasia was executed. It's an assumption to say that Jennette, Claude, Ijekiel and the Duke had happy endings.
Despite that, she knew there wasn't any kind of impending doom awaiting her. So for a while, she was pretty chill.
By the time she was a few months old, the reality of this world had been weighing on her. This was her new life; it wasn't a book, the people in it were real. Athanasia was real.
For a while, she wasn't exactly sure what to do. Should she just.. not get introduced to Claude? But defying the Duke wouldn't exactly be easy. And even if she never gets introduced, it's not like Claude would just start loving Athy anyway; he never did, so why would he start out of nowhere?
There wasn't much she could do yet as an infant, anyway
...
After she turned 4, she realized Jennette's "Happy Life" wasn't as glorified as it was in the novel.
Ijekiel was nice enough, for the time. But the Duke was another story. He wasn't outwardly cruel like Claude, but it became apparent to Jennette that the Duke in the novel didn't have Jennette as his ward because he "just wanted her to be happy".
Jennette was being used by the Duke to get to the throne. That much, she understood early on.
It made sense to her then. He must have conspired with Jennette's aunt to place her on the throne. I mean, why else would Rosalia frame Athanasia? For kicks and giggles?
..That made our current Jennette very angry. In the novel, Jennette didn't even care about the throne, yet she was used by everyone around her for power.
Both Athanasia and Jennette were failed by the adults around them. It wasn't fair that just because she existed, Athanasia was going to die..
That's when she decided. With the OP powers and plot armor as the Female Lead, she was going to make Athanasia's dreams come true, and give everyone a happy ending!
She knew that she couldn't avoid being used by the Duke, being introduced to Claude in some way. So she decided it would be on her own terms.
If Claude loved Jennette in the novel, he could love Athanasia. Right? In this world where everything exists to make the Protagonist happy, if her one wish is for she, Athanasia and Claude to be a happy family, surely it would have to happen..
..Right?
Anyway Lucajen and Athykiel are the superior WMMAP ships imo
Cómo me gustaría hacer una historia entre Lucas y Jennette. Pero no sé cómo escribirlo exactamente.

Yellow [Lucas and Jenette Fanfic] Chapter 1: Viridity
"When I first met you, I honestly didn't know you were gonna be this important to me."
viridity
(n) naïve innocence
Lucas had never been hit in his whole life even by his own parents. For this reason, he cannot fathom why Athanasia had hit him after sending her to White Jr.'s manor. He was just following her wishes! And it was fun to tease her, too. The princess was a rather brazen kid who didn't care about the consequences of hitting the great magician of the tower. Despite staying in his kid form, the fact that Lucas is a powerful wizard capable of blowing up the entire Obelian empire didn't change.
But it's alright. The princess is a dear friend. Lucas rolled his eyes at the thought.
So when she asked him again to send her back again to White Jr.'s manor, he didn't hesitate to abide her requests — which is an addition of changing her eyes to red. He has been itching to pay back for the little stunt the princess pulled on him earlier, and the perfect revenge popped into the his mind.
He transported her through White Jr.'s manor's chimney and has been snickering about her mentally-addressed curses towards his beautiful self. He then transported to the manor after her, covering his body and presence presence with invisibility.
He couldn't help but sneer at her shared interaction with the white-haired kid. The princess was obviously astounded upon hearing academic knowledge spouting out of the white-haired kid's mouth. Her face looked hilarious that he wanted to reveal himself, have her face painted in a portrait, and continuously laugh at her foolish, priceless reaction.
"Is this why she studies so hard?" Lucas thought to himself.
Whatever. He's far greater and more intelligent than the two of them combined. Lucas inwardly laughed at his thoughts before immediately stopping at once. "Okay. Perhaps the princess is ranks higher in both categories in comparison to the other kid, but I am greater. I am the greatest! And I am not absolutely saying this because she is a friend. Right."
He blinked twice to turn his attention back to silently observe the two kids' exchange from afar, impatiently waiting for the princess's call to return her back to the palace, when suddenly two knocks resounded the room.
"Big brother," An airy, high-pitched voiced called. Lucas arched a brow. "Oh great. It's another kid."
Athanasia and the white-haired kid turned towards the door in surprise. "Is that your sister?" she asked.
"Big brother? May I come in?"
"Wait a minute. I'll be there." White Jr. replied before looking back at Athanasia. "Wait here, please. I'll be back in a moment" He said, walking towards the door to open it. Lucas scoffed at the kid's impudence. How dare he have the audacity to order the princess to wait and ignoring her question! Even someone as arrogant as Lucas — who definitely has the right to be arrogant considering his genius — has learnt etiquette and manners especially addressing someone towards the royal family.
He just chooses not to apply those most of those learnt manners towards Athanasia, but still how dare that white kid do those acts. Should he report this and charge the white-haired kid with treason?
Irritated, ruby-red eyes looked at the door's direction. The door was opened to a small bit, and he couldn't see the new girl. However, he grew curious at the other sight he saw. It was dark and dancing. It was definitely black magic.
"I'll be right back. Please wait for me." The dark-haired wizard saw White Jr. mouthing those words to Athanasia — to which the princess replied by looking in surprise. Feeling mischievous, Lucas teleported beside the princess and asked her, "Is she a chimera?"
"Gaaah! You scared me!" The oh-so-graceful and elegant princess of the Obelian empire screeched that Lucas thought his beautiful ears were bleeding from the loud sound emitting from a such small kid. Rubbing his ears, he backed away from her not wanting to be hit him again.
"What are you doing here?!"
"Am I not allowed to be here? I just wanted to see the kid who you wanted to be friends so badly. And that impudent boy has a sister. Is she a chimera?" It didn't escape his eyes to see the princess flinch. His eyes narrowed at the sight and decided not to say a word before turning towards the window to gaze at the tiny two figures from a distance.
"They're headed to the greenhouse, right? We should go too." He speaks. Athanasia blinked upon hearing his words. "Why are we going to follow them? I was about to call you to head home."
Lucas faced her and smirked. "Don't worry, Your Royal Highness. We won't get caught."
