we don't know anything either, we've never watched it! but from word of mouth it seems as though Owen was a villain in that series? which means basically we're hoping he's good enough at nuanced villains that the mildly Fucking Yikes implied political leanings of his character are wholly intentional

What drew you to slicedlime specifically?

it was a legacy smp s2 clip from 12 about the Rift (plot device for the storyline). was getting fed up with the general hc sphere at the time so i went fuck it might as well gave it a try again (since sloy and pearl Did join the server but didnt upload anything since 2 months the season started)

im not going to pretend the roleplay was good. in fact it was cringe as hell. but i did genuinely lost my mind when he did two whole roleplay streams where he committed to the bit (its pretty good ill give him that) and i really respected that. so i started watching him

one thing of him that stood out to me is his constant use of shaders even on stream (i guess mojang employees' pcs are just built different <- definitely wrong assumption) which complements well with his editing style and camera works. the cinematic shots just scratches a nice spot in my head like whitepine does

and his deadpan humour is just the right amount for me; that mostly happen as a streamer-viewer interaction on stream. also he has 2 cats which appear on stream quite often, and u know how much i love cats. i cant say no to looking at cats for the price of $0

one uhh. downside? i forgot the proper word. is that he just doesnt (get to) collab with people. legacy was already in its dying breath when the ARG happened and there were effectively only 4 members, including him, left on the server. even when they brought in a bunch of people in late s2 and the beginning of s3 things just didnt go better. so im really happy to see him comfortable enough to join another smp after all these years and hope to see more on screen collabs 😭
