“ he’s dead. leave it be, i beg of you.”
Dead? No, not yet. This traitor still breathed. The sizzling of the flame over his back grew as smoke bellowed from the tips of yellowed fire. He had drawn his blade and pierced it through the fool’s body. Only heating with the spreading flame of his own back. Hot metal slowly boiling the insides.
He remained otherwise silent, kneeling down somewhat just to get close to the dying one this beast requested him to leave be. How tiresome--from one disloyal and dying halfwit to a begging moron. King kept the blade in, only slowly twisting it as he stared deeply into the other’s eyes.
“ People need to be taught their deaths. ”
A low almost mutter emitted from the mask, and yet it was as clear as day what he spoke, firm and blank with only the slightest tone of disappointment. He leaned forward only an inch, eyes narrowing while redish irises and pupils thinned in his sclera.
“ If you believe this dead, you are blind. It has a long way to go before it’s string is cut. ”
King only continued to twist the blade within the shaking corpse, slowly sliding in downward and cutting into--blending and slicing--the near dead. He wanted to push the Headliner, see how far he could push before something snapped. Perhaps it would give light to why they continued to allow this wench remain within such a high rank aside from the slight favour from the Governor-General.
