Is this an underhanded tactic? Perhaps but Law has never been above using sly and sneaky techniques to fuck with his enemies. In all honesty the outcome of this conversation doesn’t bother him. Either Susu agrees and he gets a new crew member, someone who is a bit more mild mannered than the people he usually accumulates and has some pretty decent medical skills from what Law has heard, or the guy refuses and goes back to Kidd and tells him about this. Which would make Kidd furious and that is absolutely a win in Law’s book.
The Hearts Captain shifts in his seat, head moving to rest on a raised fist as he leans on the bar. He sits beside the Kidd pirates’ physician, eyes focused entirely on them. A smirk plays at the corner of his lips, Law curious to see the other man’s reaction to this. Must have been a surprise to be approached by the rival captain while he was just taking a relaxing drink in this bar. It’s not like Law was waiting for him. He just saw an opportunity and took it.
“All I’m sayin’,” Law continues, that smirk settling on his lips. “Is that I can provide way better medical, both as a working environment and physical care, along with a more relaxed atmosphere and a guarantee that I’m not going to lose my shit over any random dude that looks at me wrong. Just think on it.”
