Shannon took the family to visit Lucy and Ariel to secure some more votes for the upcoming campaign.
Unlikely, but…
Hey, all in the Charmed (Reboot) fandom! I’ve never posted anything about the show here, but I want to try branching out from Xena: Warrior Princess for a while. Mind if I hang around here? haha
Either way, I watched the season-three finale of the reboot again just now, and an exciting idea hit me. What if... the one who’s out there... instead of being Mel’s baby... is Macy’s? Not a secret child she had in high school or college, but the one from the lifeline spell?
Harry was dead throughout his and Macy’s wedding and parenting. So, what if, somehow, the baby he was soothing to sleep is the one who will complete the Power of Three? Both her parents were in a state of limbo when she was created, and perhaps “lifeline” had another meaning: The spell’s object received a tether to the realm of the living, a lifeline, if you will, through a child. Unintended manifestations from a spell wouldn’t be uncommon in this show or the original one, but this specific theory is one that was not done on either (thus, fitting the requirement set by the new show-runners, along with the stipulation about the new Charmed One not being another secret child of Marisol’s).
The wording of the Guardian’s closing remarks at the wedding was very interesting to me. It even sounded like she was casting a spell:
By the power vested in me
By the powers that be
I now pronounce you eternally bound in your love
Through all dimensions, known and unknown.
She then directed HaCy to kiss, consummating their union, which was immediately followed by their baby’s cries.
What better way to immortalize a romantic love than to provide it a legacy through offspring? Also, “all dimensions,” you say? Like many people now think the new Charmed One will come from? This theory works on that level too! Not to mention, to me, Lucy Barrett even looks a little like Madeleine Mantock does. And maybe I’m making a lot out of coincidences and/or giving the writers too much credit… but it’s an interesting possibility, isn’t it? What do you guys think?
