Well, not surprisingly, Tumblr censored my post of artist Lucy Sparrow’s exhibition of sex toys in felt. So, I’m posting her latest exhibition, running thru Oct. 11th, at the M. Woods museum in Beijing.
Recreating famous masterpieces of art, in felt, was much different from her usual thousands of small pieces, and the exhibit features 70 works.
Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” in felt.
Mona Lisa.
Magritte’s “The Treachery of Images.”
And, the Egyptian Pharaoh, done in shiny gold fabric, are just a few examples. It was quite an ambitious endeavor. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
