catch me smiling like this every time i think about this book 😍 i just checked my Goodreads and saw that i shelved Lucy’s book almost exactly a year ago as “to-read”, right after she announced that she was writing it, and now i’ve read it and it was perfect! The Paper & Hearts Society is a lovely quick read about friendship, trust, mental illness, online bullying and finding your own people. and, the most important thing, BOOKS! it’s no surprise that i love books about books, and this one is no exception ☺️ i really loved our narrator Tabby and all the other main characters. my favourite characters were constantly changing because they are all so great! they have unique voices, their own flaws and quirks and you can’t help but with they were real and you could join the Paper & Hearts Society Book Club IRL 😌 but, in the end i did end up with a favourite, and that is Ed, hands down, my child! all of them are my children, in fact, because compared to these smart 15 and 16 year olds i am very old 😄 also, the demisexual representation is great and i love it 👌🏻 that is actually the reason why i ended up giving this book 4,5* instead of the full 5*. it felt a bit young for me now and it was a tad too predictable, but there is nothing wrong with that. i still loved this as much as i would have had i read it 5 years ago. i will definitely be lending it to my cousin who is as big of a bookworm as i am and turning 15 next month ✌🏻 Lucy, i am so proud of you for writing such a great novel that many kids and young adults will relate to and feel like they are not alone in this big scary world (and even 21 year olds like me). thank you for this book and i can’t wait for the sequel!! can’t it be May 2020 already? 🥰 also, my result of the Which Paper & Hearts Society Character Are You? quiz is Henry and i couldn’t agree more 🙌🏻 @lucythereader #paperandheartssociety #thepaperandheartssociety #paperandhearts #lucypowrie #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookpic #booktography #reading #bibliophile #currentlyreading #igreads #booknerd #bookblogger https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz0wklBoNvV/?igshid=a6wxbbfsar6y
