Cutting Out the Middleman
Taylor Kelly/Lucy Donato, 1,154 words, rated T
Deep down, she thinks both she and Buck knew they were fighting against the current, that their broken edges were causing more cracks the tighter they tried to hold things together. And she's relieved, in a way. Taylor's never been good at lying to herself and she has to admit that's what she'd been doing for a long time now.
Probably since the second Buck kissed Lucy, really.
For the @9-1-1-kinkmeme prompt: What it says on the tin. After she and Buck break up, Taylor decides she wants to find out what was so great about kissing that hot flight medic. Lucy's happy to demonstrate.

Taylor should be out celebrating. She just broke the story of the decade about a serial killer amongst some of the city's finest and yet she's here; haunting the same old badge and ladder doing a postmortem of yet another relationship crash and burn. Taylor Kelly, coming to you live from the smoldering wreckage of the last several months of her life. And she can't even really be all that mad about it.
"What was it you said to me? 'I'd hate for things to get messy again'? I think you might have jinxed us with that one." As if summoned by some sort of karmic retribution, Lucy Donato swings herself into open seat next to Taylor at the bar.
i'm gonna leave you anyway, i'm gonna leave you anyway
Taylor Kelly/Lucy Donato, Rated T, 38,598 words (ongoing), chapters 8/11 (may be subject to change)
“I didn’t ask for your help,” she tells her, curtly. It’s not that – it’s not like last time. She doesn’t really care anymore. Her relationship with Buck is long in her rearview. But if Taylor Kelly is good at anything, it’s holding a grudge. Even just on principle. “Was that your way of making up for kissing my ex-boyfriend?”
The woman – God, what was her name? Laura? Lisa? She’s usually better with names, as a reporter – snorts. Her hair is a little curled at the front, maybe because she’s out for a drink not coming out of a five-alarm fire. Privately, Taylor will admit it looks good on her. “Didn’t think I needed calvary from you for that one, princess. I was just trying to help you before, my sincerest apologies.”
Taylor is not someone who gets needled easily. She does the needling. It’s part of her skillset. But for some reason this – Lucy, that was it, Lucy fucking Donato – is getting under her skin. “Well, thank you for the sisterhood,” she says, sarcastically. “But you’re hardly innocent, you kissed someone in a relationship.”
This makes Lucy smirk in a way that makes Taylor feel like she’s losing the battle here. And that annoys her more, because she hates to lose at anything.

Lured myself into the Lucy Donato tag, and now I'm thinking Taylucy thoughts. Taylucy prompts would save me.
tear
day 90 of @118dailydrabble word: tear | Ship: LucyTaylor | rating: E, hook up, alcohol
Lucy shoves Taylor up against the wall of the bathroom stall and presses her lips firmly against hers with an authority that causes desire to tear through Taylor.
Lucy’s hands are everywhere—all over her back, cupping her ass—they’re grinding against each other and Taylor knows where she wants those hands next. She breaks the kiss—
Bridgerton-inspired AU - initial bucktaylor as besties planning to do a lavender marriage arrangement because their families are expecting it after they’ve both been out in society for years, but of course they will both fall for other people during the season…
Enter widower Eddie Diaz, his son Christopher, and Chris’ nanny Lucy Donato who’ve come to the ton from America to visit Pepa (she’s basically Lady Danbury here).

strike
day 53 of @118dailydrabble word: strike, day 6 of @911-rarepair-week prompt: festivities | Ship: Lucy/Taylor | rating: G, wedding fluff
The day of their simple courthouse wedding, the air thrums with electricity; Taylor swears she feels the hairs on her arm stand on end as lightning strikes a nearby high-rise.
Lucy’s eyes go wide at the loud crack that sounds when it hits.
Taylor swallows the lump in her throat.
“You think that’s a sign we shouldn’t do this?”
Lucy shakes her head.
“No, I think it’s a sign we should speed this ceremony along,” she says, smirking at the black-robed balding older man who volunteered to conduct their civil ceremony. “The faster we finish here, the faster we can celebrate.”
The commissioner pushes his round tortoise shell glasses up his nose, and smiles.
“Very well, let’s begin.”
