Yapping----- God this game captures the 2000s vibe perfectly like I dont think I've ever seen someone write characters in the 2000s (heavy on lane) so well. Im obvi not from that era but my parents are (lol yes they had me very young) and lane's interest, clothing, and music taste are just so perfect. Even the dynamic between lane and lub is just soo realistic. And all the posters and shit lane has around his apartment, ugh its so good. Also lanes mentality on mental health and not really feeling like he can go to anyone because hes a man (which is horrible but fitting ofc). Like back then there wasn't resources like we have now. And guys really were held to that higher standard of being the "man" of the house and not being soft because of their issues or whatnot. Which is why i feel like his character makes sm sense considering his relationship/experience with his mom and ex. Likeee he's so Eminem coded since they both got mommy issues and toxic exs lolol (he totally listened to "Kim" after his ex cheated on him…..) Anyway i could go on and on bc theres so many details but MWA loved this shift <3

So I just started playing Shift 3 yesterday and OH MY GOD, I am OBSESSED 😭 Man, I’ve played a lot of games, but BBD is on a whole different level. I can’t even describe how much I love it—every single detail, the vibes, the storytelling, the character writing, and the little details in the gameplay... oh my god. literally GOATED.

I literally still haven't moved past exploring his apartment because I’m slow af😍, plus knowing how Laly hides details, I keep walking around and clicking on everything over and over again with every tiny bit of progress. But honestly, that’s the whole point of the game!! And I discovered so much thanks to that! I advise you to check things repeatedly and press on all places more than once and at different times!! I swear I live for the details!!

And here is our stinky nerd Ludwig finally, huh? 😙 They are so gross, oh my god, I was rolling out of laughter and disgust at the way they talk. I love them so much, their dynamic is so stupid and cute! I love how they switch from cursing each other out to bursting into laughter, and I end up laughing along with them 😭

I really want to hear the full story from both sides...He was just a kid, and it saddens me how he freaks out whenever we mention her name. In Shift 2, it felt like he was blaming her, but now he’s putting the blame on himself?! And the way he talks down abt himself?? My heart man i really wanna hug him so bad😔

You guys will NEVER understand how terrifying this was at 1 AM. I didn’t expect it at all, I literally jumped 😭

There is so much more I want to talk about, but I’ll save it until I finish it!! Thank you so much, Laly, for this masterpiece and for all the effort you put into it. Don’t forget to take a break and get a proper reward, and the least I can do is play it and explore everything to appreciate every single detail so none of your hard work goes to waste 🥹🙏🏻
