🦁☄️Oh boy, what a promissing lil sketch of a perfectly Noble, Honorable and Loyal Chapter Master of a Perfectly Good Loyalist Chapter of Space Marines! I sure do hope nothing horrible, traumatic and unfair happens to him or his brothers, wouldn't that be Heartbreaking?
I Am Very busy reading some badass pirate stuff so all You get today IS THIS Basic aaaaa sketch of this Handsome boy looking worried for some reason, I AM sure he'll be fiiiine. Also, he has a Funny name, a... Luffy? Lugft? Something something uron. Its based on This Very rare Old Forgeworld mini.
One of the things that Tortuga Bay has been way ahead of the curve on is the modularity of their characters. Whether it's the multiple poses of Myroslav Kado, Taras' optional gore, the many weapons of Andrian Molenko or Kolyan Crab, there is a ton of added value in every one of these kits - but Lev Neron may take the cake.
Notwithstanding the absolutely massive scenic base depicting dead or dying loyalists and customary left-handed heavy flamer, you've got a left and right matching Tyrant Claw, alternate build options for a power sword and stormbolter, bare and multiple helmeted options including a leonine war mask, and an optional cape - and this is all in addition to the completely modular plastron and pauldrons which can be swapped for similar form factor chapter alternatives from upgrade packs or other kits, in case you just want to do a really wild looking Terminator Captain.
☠️🏴☠️ Lugft Huron, The Honorable Chapter Master of The Astral Claws!
Also a random ass sketch of some renegade pirate marine who loves alien crocodiles or something. Huh. They have slightly similar names. Small galaxy.
This was hard, and took forever, but was worth it! This handsome perfectly good and loyal marine could be Titus' brother huh? His Forgeworld mini realy has ' Perfect Astartes Vibes '. Also, The official illustration has his Armour with a funny gradient from blue to white, such shame that more characters don't have that.
The more I read this thing the more I like This sarcastic lil a-hole.
As Always, I have changed A LOT of things about both versions of his Armour, added details, etc etc.
I could put the text on scrolls down here somewhere, FNAF reference, pirate jokes, Shrek Critique, aaaaa Fuck Erebus, something something skaven, Pirates Fucking Rule, Sacred Text™.
Lugft Huron/Huron Blackheart is in on his title book, Master of the Maelstrom, on The Gildar Rift, on Blood Reaver, on Tyrant of the Hollow Worlds and some small stories like Fool's Ruin, Bitter End, The Skull Harvest.
Course' he is on the Badad campain things, part One and Two, also Warlords of The Dark Millenium (very fitting) and PROBABLY on that BADAB WAR SERIES THAT GW IS GONNA MAKE SOMEDAY, RIGHT? RIGHT???

These are 2625x3500 100% digital drawings sketched, rendered and recorded 100% on Ibis Paint X, using SO MANY REFERENCES I am probably gonna put somewhere together with the progression and rendering from finalized sketch to finished render. Now I kinda have to render the fully half blown up version of This Guy, but This is Future Preguissosa's problem lmao.
Affiliation: Imperium of Man (formerly), Badab Secessionists, Red Corsairs (post-Badab War)
Status: Active (Maelstrom, post-Badab War)
Mahibanat was a Rogue Trader from the planet Homay, whose life became linked with Lugft Huron, Chapter Master of the Astral Claws, during the Badab War. Her participation in the conflict and her alleged transformation into a Chaos priestess have made her a notorious figure in Imperial records.
Early Life
Born on Homay, a world twice pacified during the Great Crusade and dominated by pagan warlords, Mahibanat learned to fight before she could read. Her formal education came later, revealing a remarkable talent for learning foreign languages without cranial implants, a skill that later helped her as a Rogue Trader.
Disinherited as her mother’s primary heir, she was sent into the solitary life of a Rogue Trader with the directive to “get over it and get a grip on it.” Inheriting her late aunt’s Warrant of Trade, Mahibanat became the token to Homay’s economic survival, as the planet depended on the protection and trade networks her status afforded.
Rise as a Rogue Trader
Mahibanat’s early career was marked by sacrifice and hardship. Abandoning personal relationships, including love and friendships, she dedicated herself to Homay’s survival. Known for her risk-taking, predatory tactics, bravery, and brutal pragmatism, she eventually thrived as a Rogue Trader.
Later in life, she was introduced to Lugft Huron, Chapter Master of the Astral Claws. Mahibanat was among the few mortals to recognise Huron’s self-proclaimed governorship of the Maelstrom Zone, choosing to trade directly with the Astral Claws rather than planetary authorities. This decision, combined with her lack of fear in Huron’s presence, earned her his favour.
Relationship with Lugft Huron
Mahibanat’s relationship with Huron began before the Badab War, with unconfirmed reports claiming they became lovers. This scandalous relationship reportedly caused Mahibanat severe physical trauma due to the physiological differences between a mortal and an Astartes. Some sources suggest this trauma prompted Huron to insist on her enhancement by Astral Claws Apothecaries, subjecting her to experimental procedures to augment her physique to near-Astartes levels. Mahibanat consented, reportedly stating, “Who doesn’t want to live forever?” The procedure, despite its risks, was successful, granting her enhanced strength and near-immortality.
It is alleged that Mahibanat’s disdain for the Imperium’s justice, rooted in Homay’s cultural belief that negotiation with “old gods” was preferable to the “Anathema” (the Emperor), may have influenced Huron’s rebellious ambitions. However, these claims lack primary evidence.
Huron declared Mahibanat his “Consort,” an act that marked the formal beginning of the Badab Heresy and predated the Badab War. As an ally, Mahibanat fought alongside the Astral Claws, leveraging her skills as a Rogue Trader to support their cause.
Some sources speculate her decision was driven by personal feelings for Huron, though others argue it reflected pragmatic desires for power and survival. Her true role in the conflict remains unclear, with some accusing her of manipulating Huron for personal gain, while others suggest she saw a human core beyond his Astartes nature and Astral Claws standing.
Role in the Badab War and Aftermath
During the Badab War, Mahibanat proved a key asset to Huron’s forces, coordinating trade and logistics. Following the fall of Badab Primaris and Huron’s wound, Mahibanat remained by his side as he transformed into Huron Blackheart, leader of the Red Corsairs. Within the Maelstrom, she performed Homay pagan rites to ease his pain, earning her the moniker of a “Chaos witch.”
Allegedly, Mahibanat received boons from Chaos Undivided, including a mutated “void-eye,” hooves, and horns, which enhanced her infamy. However, she never pledged allegiance to any single Chaos God, remaining loyal to Huron. Known for being capable of calming his outbursts and mood swings, Mahibanat became a stabilising influence within the Red Corsairs.
Legacy
Mahibanat’s legacy is one of paradox: a protector of Homay who abandoned her world for a life of rebellion, and a mortal who rose to prominence among superhuman warriors only to embrace Chaos. On Homay, she is a mythic figure, and in Imperial records, she is condemned as a heretic and enabler of Huron’s tyranny, though some apocryphal accounts romanticise her as a tragic figure bound by love and duty.
Notes
A quote attributed to Mahibanat, “I desire more: Chaos, power, fame,” is often cited in Imperial propaganda to depict her as a power-hungry heretic, though its authenticity is unverified.
Accounts of a romantic relationship between Mahibanat and Lugft Huron are largely dismissed by Adeptus Astartes chroniclers, as they contradict their indoctrination.
The nature of Mahibanat’s Chaos boons, including her alleged mutations, is poorly documented and may reflect propaganda or exaggeration by Imperial scribes.
Homay’s pagan rites, as practised by Mahibanat, are suspected to predate Imperial contact and align with proto-Chaotic beliefs, though no definitive evidence exists.
The augmentative procedures performed on Mahibanat are not detailed in surviving records, and their success raises questions about the Astral Claws’ Apothecary capabilities.
