I’ve been re-watching SMG4 lately and looking back into the Mario franchise, something tells Me that the Mario Bros kinda have a secret type when it comes to having a crush (or at least, in this case, being friends with another person).
Comparing to both Nintendo and SMG4, here’s what I have a little headcanon about the Mario Bros in Both Different Universes;
Mario often catches up and rescues Girls who are captured by Male Animal-Like Beasts (example; Bowser kidnaps Peach, DK kidnaps Pauline, and even SMG4! Francis kidnaps Meggy) where’s Mario is the one who has to face up those Guys just to save the Damsel in Distress (yet, he is even thanked at the end of it).
Luigi is often mainly a shy yet timid guy who has secret courage yet he mainly acts like a Malewife most of the time, especially when it would be either Daisy or Saiko (who are both Girlbosses).
So what’s my personal fan-theory of their taste in Women? My guess is that Mario is into Damsel In Distresses while Luigi is into Girlbosses.
I dunno if that could be true or not but that’s just my own headcanon right there if I got the patterns right.
5. Five facts about your sibling. If you have more than one, pick one. Or do them all!
Good thing I have five siblings lmao
My youngest brother likes to go “what’s that noise?” and then farts.
My youngest sister likes to beat him up.
My other sister has broken her leg twice; the first time was while jumping and tripping on a puddle at a Canada Day party. I think the second was during a soccer game.
My older brother’s birthday is 3 days before mine.
My step-brother is the only one who lives outside of the country.
15. Five facts about your favorite book.
I don’t think I have a favourite book so I’ll just pick The Lunar Chronicles.
The author, Marissa Meyer, started her craft by writing Sailor Moon fanfiction.
It’s a sci-fi/fantasy fairy-tale-inspired series. Cinder, the main character, is a cyborg. That should be enough to rope you in.
While it’s not published along with the main series, there is a Little Mermaid short story that takes place in the same universe. You can find the link on the books’ website.
The final book is coming out this year some time.
Iko is the best character.
18. Five facts about the city/town you live in.
It’s not very big.
A food stand burned down there last summer but it’s up and running now. The prices are all higher too, lmao
The bowling alley does glow bowling every Saturday night.
It’s where we usually do our grocery-shopping.
There’s a used book shop my family and I always liked visiting a lot as children. Every time we drove past it I’d ask to go in.
All of them. On those not usually asked questions. I pick all 98. Do it. (Unless there's some you don't wanna answer, then don't do them) C-:
Holy shit this is gonna take a while, I hope my internet doesn't crap out or something.
I present to you;
THE FACTS ABOUT NERI THAT NO ONE ASKED FOR, EXCEPT FINN JUST NOW
1: When you have a container of Neapolitan ice cream, what flavor do you leave for last?
Probably the strawberry. I like chocolate and am okay with vanilla.
2: Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
Nope. It's been ages since I was even in a hotel so yeah.
3: Have you ever bought an item of clothing because it reminded you of something a fictional character would wear?
Yeah, I've picked a couple of things for if I was ever going to cosplay my own OC(s). Never done that before tho.
4: Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
I wouldn't even know how to go about doing that.
5: Do you like to use post-it notes?
Maybe, if I had more of them. It'd probably cut down the amount of lined paper I use.
6: What have you inherited from your family lineage?
Red hair, artistic abilities, and a minimum amount of sass reserved for family.
7: Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of a bees?
Big bear. Hopefully I'd be in a big blue house.
8: Do you have freckles?
Yes.
9: Do you always smile for pictures?
Yeah, even though I don't really like my smile.
10: Is listening to other people something that is important to you?
Yep.
11: Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
If so, rarely.
For some reason there's no 12 and 13. Okay then.
14: Tomorrow morning, you wake up in the body of a celebrity, like in a '90s body-swap movie. Who is it? How do they react to your life? What do you do when you're "them"? Would you choose to switch back?
They'd probably be amazed by how mundane and uneventful my life is. If they didn't use it as a day-off, they'd probably surprise my parents by taking a car and going somewhere, exploring the area or something.
Who would it be... I dunno. I think Hayley Williams from Paramore, just so I could sing and feel bad-ass and do all the covers I ever wanted. I'd make them into a CD for myself before switching back.
15: Are you the kind of friend that you would want to have as a friend?
I guess so, but at the same time, I have my petty moments, so it'd be a matter of being able to put up with that too.
16: Do you have a collection of anything?
When I was little I collected stickers. I've been meaning to dig up that old book I made...
17: What size is your bed?
In bed terms, I'm not sure (like queen-sized, etc.). I know that the frame is tall enough for me to have to hop to get onto it. It's wide enough to fit me and a bunch of my junk on the side, and long enough to suit my height.
18: Tell me about your fake names and pen names and what your parents almost named you.
Neri is my fake/pen name. If I was born a dude, my parents would have called me Josh.
19: Is it okay for guys to wear pink?
Hell yeah it is, work that shit.
20: Do you still watch cartoons?
Hell yeah I do, watch that shit.
21: A wizard offers you immortality in exchange for your two front teeth. Do you take it?
EWWW.
Yes because then I can save up and get them replaced.
22: Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?
If I told you then what's the point of hiding the treasure
23: What do you drink with dinner?
Milk. If there's no milk, juice.
24: What do you dip a chicken nugget in?
Ketchup.
25: What is your favorite food?
Spaghetti.
26: What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
Rise of the Guardians, Megamind and Chicken Run.
There is no 27 so 28: What do you think happens when we die?
The age-old question. I don't know. I'm not as religious as I used to be growing up (which makes me sound older than I am, welp) so I don't really know. A part of me always leans towards reincarnation though.
29: Would you ever strip or pose nude in a magazine?
No.
30: When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?
Before Christmas. I sent letters to conceitedcereal and shadowsheyla.
[squints at them]
31: Can you change the oil on a car?
[sweats] No, but I should really learn.
32: Ever gotten a speeding ticket?
No, but I've gotten worse.
33: Can you think of anything more boring than birdwatching?
Learning about energy canisters after getting kicked out of the Scare Program.
34: Who is your favorite late night talk show host?
I'm not familiar with any of them.
35: Best thing to eat for breakfast?
French toast.
36: What is your usual bedtime?
1 AM. It's the latest I can go without annoying my parents about being up too late on the internet. At college it varied, depending on class times.
37: What is your deepest wound/what was your worst injury, and do you still hurt from it?
I'll just say something you guys already know because I'm a secretive shit, but if you've been following me for more than a week you know Monty Oum's death hit me hard. I cried for two days, and then cried again reading Gray's speech the day after the funeral.
I don't hurt from it anymore, but I still remember every so often and deny that it's happened. I think I've accepted it deep down, though. Such is life.
38: When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?
I was a different thing every year. I don't remember a lot of things, but what I do remember was Buttercup from Powerpuff Girls (because there was no more Blossom; she and Bubbles were the most popular characters), a cow with the rest of my family, Stella from Winx Club (the costume was actually too small for me but I was determined man) and a medieval princess.
39: What is the longest you've ever been awake?
I couldn't tell you how long it was exactly, but once I slept over at shadowsheyla's house with avengingredmoon, and the three of us stayed up until 6 AM. We didn't wake up until 3 in the afternoon.
40: How many languages can you speak?
English and very minimal broken French. I would like to try and learn it though.
41: Do you have any magazine subscriptions?
Nope. But when Archie Comics did their Sonic X series, I was subscribed to that for a year. Saved me an assload of trouble making sure I got them at all.
42: Which are better legos or lincoln logs?
Legos. I almost forgot what Lincoln Logs were.
43: When you kiss someone for the first time, is it usually you who initiates it or the other?
Guess who's a virgin.
44: Are you one of those people who never drinks soda?
Ha! No, but my sister is.
45: Ever watch soap operas?
We always have supper around the time Young and the Restless comes on, so yes. It's fun because they're so predictable that you can guess something and you'll be at least a little bit right.
46: Are you afraid of heights?
'Wary' is the more accurate term, I believe.
47: How many times do you hit the snooze button before finally getting out of bed?
I've only ever used an alarm in college, and I don't think I hit the snooze button. If I set the time chances are it was for good reason.
48: Do you sing in the shower?
More like whisper or hum but yeah.
49: On a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to swear at other drivers?
Depends.. Normally I actually apologize to drivers if I fuck up ( nyaten has first-hand knowledge of this from Free Comic Book Day) but if I've been lost (which happens a lot) and I'm tired of driving in circles there is no mercy.
50: Ever used a gun?
Nope, and I hope I don't have to.
51: Something that never fails to make you smile?
My friends' reactions to my puns.
52: Have you ever dyed your hair? If so, what color(s)?
Nope.
53: Is Christmas stressful?
Only when it comes to my bank balance. Otherwise no.
54: Would you ever become a vegan?
No because I would probably die. Seriously.
55: Have you ever wanted to flip a table before? If so, why?
Who hasn't? (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
Felix's little plot twist in RvB12 got that reaction out of me.
56: Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?
Art teacher, artist, English teacher in China, farmer, creator of my own comics.
57: Do you believe in ghosts?
I don't have a strong opinion on ghosts, but I hope they don't exist because that would mean I'm probably haunted by the thousands of ghosts of bugs that I've killed and I don't need that in my life.
58: Ever have a Deja-vu feeling?
Regularly. I got it for a moment after the Lincoln Logs question, lmao.
59: Take a vitamin daily?
Not daily but I take Vitamin C tablets when I remember.
60: If you could reboot or remake any movie, what would it be and who would you cast?
Eragon. I'd get whoever did Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter to bring that book to life. Properly.
61: Was the first crush in your life something you had or something someone had on you?
Something I had. When I was little I picked boys to have crushes on just for the sole purpose of having a crush (yay conformity), but I think my first real crush was on a kid named Cody in Grade 4. His swearing made me laugh.
62: What do you wear to bed?
Pyjamas. Shocker, I know.
63: A philosophy or religion you follow?
I'm a very low-maintenance Catholic, but there's nothing excessively religious that I do, other than go to Church with the family. And Lent.
As for philosophy, I guess just try to be the best person I can be. The world is shitty so like why add to the shit when I can bury the shit and have plants grow from it -- Neri, 2015
64: Wal-Mart, Target or Kmart?
lmao Target's leaving Canada and I don't even know where a Kmart is so the answer is obviously none.
65: If you could get away with one murder in your lifetime without any legal, social, or emotional repercussions, would you kill someone?
I really don't know. I don't think I would.
66: Cheetos Or Fritos?
Very close but Fritos.
67: If you could take on the exact body and form of anyone else on Earth, who would it be?
Idk if I can give a good answer on the spot. Anyone as long as I have red hair and am prettier.
68: Would you rather know everything the universe has to offer but in exchange lose all emotions or remain the way you are now?
I guess remain the way I am.
69: Do you pronounce "via" as vee-uh or vie-uh? (Example: "We can get there via Tremont Street.")
"Vie-uh."
70: Is there a profession you picture your future spouse doing?
Writing.
71: Would you rather be the only person in the world that can read minds or have everyone else in the world be able to read minds except for your own?
While the first one is very tempting I wouldn't mind being a special snowflake in a telepathic world, lmao.
72: If you were old enough and not in a situation where it would be inappropriate, would you sleep with one of your (past) school teachers/professors?
Nope.
73: Have you ever cried because you were so happy?
No.
74: Own any record albums?
No, just a shit-ton of regular CD's.
75: Own a record player?
No.
76: Do you have a garbage receptacle beside you? What's on top?
No, but for the sake of breaking the chain there's one in the next room and there's a bunch of kleenexes and an empty bag of fruit. My brother had a smoothie earlier.
77: How gullible are you? Have you ever been pranked or playfully fooled?
100%. I'm easily trusting and rarely give things a second thought, which has been detrimental to me at times.
Living with my little brother you can expect to be fooled just by talking to him.
78: If you could be a super hero (or villain) what would you call yourself and what powers would you have?
Rocket Blue, converting creative energy into magic and using it artistically, for super speed or in weapon form. Maybe like some kind of blue Green Lantern but without the ring and a lot hammier.
79: What was the last concert you saw?
Never been to one but I'm hoping to go to Video Games Live next month so I can finally have a decent answer to this question, haha.
80: How often do you forget to close your parentheses?
(whispers I don't think I ever do.
81: Tea or coffee?
Tea, even though I've only had one kind.
82: Sugar or snickerdoodles?
Sugar? What the hell are snickerdoodles
83: Can you swim well?
I wish.
84: Can you hold your breath without holding your nose?
I WISH.
85: Are you patient?
I like to think that I am but at the same time I find myself sweating the small stuff a lot.
86: DJ or band, at a wedding?
I've always pictured a band, but now I'm not sure...
87: Ever won a contest?
Does the spelling bee in the first grade count? I got my picture in the paper.
Oh yeah, story time! The timing is pretty good because it happened right around Valentine's Day. When I was in first or second grade, my teacher put different amounts of different candies in different jars. There were four and whoever got all the amounts right won a prize.
One day (I think there was like a week to do it), one of the students noticed that if you looked from underneath the jar (which was glass) you could see numbers taped underneath the lids. At least 3 of them anyways. I'm pretty sure there was one where there wasn't, which I will get to later.
So like the week goes by, it's Valentine's Day (probably) and it's time to count the damn candies. Of course, surprise surprise, the numbers matched up, and then came the last jar, which was filled with tiny red candy things. It didn't look like a lot, but there were a 100 of them in there. This was a big deal to a class of 6-year-olds and who were just learning math. I think because everyone underestimated just how many were in there.
I probably was the only one who took the time to try and count them all, so I won the prize, thanks to 3/4s cheating and 1/4 being a nerd. The prize was a heart-shaped slinky, which I loved when I got it, probably from being a trophy and also because it was just a really nice slinky.
Sadly, it did get some kinks in it, and I don't know what happened to it after that. Mom probably threw it out. I guess that was 3/4s of karma biting my ass.
88: Are you more feminine or masculine?
:T I dunno. I see myself as both, kinda.
89: Did your mother go to college?
Nope. Neither of my parents did.
90: Would you break up with someone your parents didn't approve of?
Psh, no. I know what my parents don't approve of and some of that I don't approve of them disapproving.
91: Would you say you have a green thumb? What have you grown?
Nothing outside of Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. I did grow a sunflower in grade 3, but so did everyone in my class.
92: Do you want to get married?
The future is looking that way.
93: If married, how long have you been married?
I already made a Harvest Moon joke so I'll just go to the next one.
95: Do you cry and throw a fit until you get your own way?
No, I just internalize my rage until I get over myself.
96: Are you brave or do you easily become nervous or scared?
Easily nervous.
97: Do you want kids?
What's the rush
98: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
About 5 minutes to use the can and get changed. If I shower add an extra 30 minutes on top of that.
99: Your boss tells your coworker that they have to let them go because of work shortage, and they are the newest employee. You have been there much longer. Your coworker has a family to support and no other means of income. Do you go to your boss and offer to leave the company? Why or Why not?
Well I can tell you there would be a lot of guilt involved, omg. I guess it'd be more advantageous if I left, not just because of the family crap but if I have more experience I'd be more likely to find a new job. So yeah.
Rules: repost this and tag ten people you want to know better
Fictional Character: well, since I've been playing Dragon Age: Inquisition so much, Cole and Cullen come immediately to mind. I also love Riku from Kingdom Hearts and Garrus from Mass Effect. And lots more, but I can't list everyone.
Books: Oh gods, books are my favorite things. Um... I love love love the book Elvenbane by Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey, it's probably my most reread book. Harry Potter are also favorites, of course.
Anime: I haven't really watched many newer anime, but Cowboy Bebop is good, and Sailor Moon is a classic.
TV Shows: I'm really enjoying Arrow and The Flash, as well as Constantine. Buffy the Vampire Slayer gets a lot of regular rewatches. I also really like Good Eats with Alton Brown, I love cooking shows :)
Favorite Beverage: strong coffee and spiced tea, also cran-apple juice
Favorite Food: bacon cheeseburgers, as boring as that sounds. I also love Indian food, Korean food, and sushi
Last movie I’ve seen in the cinemas: Guardians of the Galaxy
Dream Holiday: I want to visit Ireland and Scotland. I've traced my lineage and have some distant family over there that I'd like to someday meet. I'd also like to go to Poland to see where my husband's great-grandmother grew up.
Dream Wedding: I was never a big 'dream wedding' kind of girl. When Tony and I got married, we wore jeans, there were only 6 people there, and it cost less than 100$. For me it's never been about the wedding as it is about the marriage.
Dream Job: honestly, my dream job is housewife/stay at home mom. I love cooking and cleaning and maintaining the house, and that's what I do right now. The 'mom' part is still pending.
And now, I'm gonna tag: arish0k atrilial mandygoestomedschool duelsoul hawke-vas-normandy spaceboi101 calizorah themightymoustacheofwatson bosmer-dalish fistinginferno (also anyone else who wants to do it)
My pirate oc and his besty will take any opportunity from hiding from the law to royal balls to dress up all pretty in dresses and make up and they take it very seriously. Despite the fact he has a sweet beard and his best friend's a huge minotaur.
that is amazing
Maria doesn't like to get dressed up, she spends most of her time in a t-shirt and jeans
tell me a thing about your OC and I'll tell you a related one about mine
